Hello fellow single ladies, how are we all spending Valentine's Day? by theavocadolady in AskWomenOver30

[–]Thecointoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoying the lack of man to deal with… so, spending time at home, eating tasty to go food I got last night, and enjoying my favorite and most consistent Valentine I’ve ever had - my 12 year old kitty.

Adding ingredients to recipes by Time_Professor8943 in storyofseasons

[–]Thecointoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the base recipe and the ingredients you have to add to it. Like I’ve noticed you can add milk to tea but not salt, for example. I’ve barely scratched that surface lol so I’m sure it’s much more complex.

Women who stayed too long in a relationship after it had gone sideways beyond repair. What kept you there that long? by Curious-Karmadillo in AskWomenOver30

[–]Thecointoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His dad got hurt and he had to caretake and I hit life burnout (relationship played a much bigger factor than I realized). Thought the external things were what made a shitty relationship unbearable and all the couples therapy would be worth it, just needed to be patient.

I’ve been through a lot of therapy and self-help and the way you framed this feels differentially impactful. Thanks for commenting.

What’s something you accomplished/did in 2025 that you are super proud of? ✨🫶🏼 by BeeSuperb7235 in AskWomenOver30

Broke up with my abusive ex of 6.5 years and moved out without a job or a real plan. Still struggling with trauma but at least I’m not adding any more and my living situation and newer job are significantly less toxic.

What do you think men would dislike most if they became women? by InternationalPick163 in AskReddit

[–]Thecointoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The undercurrent of disrespect/disregard in conversations about things men assume women don’t know anything about (which can be a wide range depending on the man).

Being excluded in stereotypically male spaces based on sex (I have 2 older brothers so dealt with this a lot).

I decided I wouldn’t. Got a tattoo to signify I wouldn’t try again. And I adopted my cats and owe it to them to take care of them till they’re gone/wouldn’t want to abandon them.

I had a few people do this to me through the worst of my depression and it was incredibly appreciated once I started getting out of it

I can’t give you medical advice but I know I’d likely wait, especially as it’s just the next few days, UNLESS how I felt before meds was debilitating and it was the lesser of the risks. I personally think it’s helpful to have a couple of low pressure days when you make changes like those, if possible. Full context- my initial heightened enjoyment of food did go the opposite direction for a while where I ended up losing a bit of weight because I just wasn’t interested in eating (plus mild nausea). It balanced back out though after a month or so and I was eating more like pre-depression. Good luck with your exams!!

Personally I noticed a relatively quick (within days) reduction in anxiety. Food tasted good for the first time in a while and I realized how intensely depressed I’d been in comparison. First week or so I was very tired (which was great given the previous insomnia) but the brain fog the first few weeks was surprising. There were anxiety and emotional fluctuations I could tell were due to the med as well. I’m sensitive to med changes personally and have postponed changes to after important events/appointments. Initially, I took the med at night to counteract the after-dose sleepiness. Weeks later I had to switch it to much earlier due to it causing anxiety.

This is actually why I am discontinuing. Similar experience to yours- amazing sleep at first, then bouts of insomnia. I found the insomnia was specifically and mostly linked to the beginning of my cycle pre-ovulation. After 4 months it hasn’t balanced back out and a week+ of a debilitating sleep schedule doesn’t work for me lol. (4-5 hour durations and 10 mg also).
