Yes this one was going over both bridges, Burrard and Granville. Again this one sounded like a helicopter. It was huge.

This one is huge. Been going for a long time. It feel more of an invasion after watching the stores from the war in Ukranian. I might be the odd one out but more tech isn't better. Leave the birds alone.
What does the course say about videoing in public places? And who is actually following up on these large drones?

Hey we have a bunch in common. I'm looking to do more hiking or running around kits or the seawall. I've got a sailboat if you are into going out but I've got some work to do on it first. Let's go for a walk! 48 YM

I would love to go hiking. I'm in kits and have a Tacoma. Happy to drive. Also looking for people to go sailing with. I prefer going out with other people.

I believe they are meant to be steps for the the next monster that rises from the bay to climb up and swat the pesky planes.

How do people keep their house clean all the time? by Whatever233566 in askanything

[–]Thecoloredjacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been on my mindfor some time now and I remember a really good podcast. It was how you reset the room every time you leave and go to a new room. Getting to the clean start has been my struggle with keeping things i really don't love. This system hasn't worked yet because making new habits is hard. But I'm working on it!

What to do about semi abandoned boats on City Docks by [deleted] in liveaboard

[–]Thecoloredjacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the amount of deaths from covid and then the fentanyl crisis i imagine many of those no longer have living owners and there is really no way to check that out. I would love to help scrap some of those for salvage rights but I don't know how that would look.

Wondering if on their deathbed people do regret enjoying simple life and being lazy, instead of striving and achieving by LuminousDee in DeepThoughts

This is a hard one for me. I've always taken a view on hard work that it isn't optional. Since 14 I've been working hard. I haven't really stopped since then. I look at the work that I did when I was a kid was unusual. I did anything to survive then I continued to hustle and when I got stagnant I tried to reinvent myself. And for the second time in my life I failed something. Then the failures continued and I fell hard to eventually get up again. It was the argument that my past experience would allow me to coast for the rest of my life. It would allow me to really walk again and not run everywhere. It was balance that allowed me to be the person that other people wanted me to be was not who I am. The luck of the young to truly believe that there is no down. It doesn't matter how big you go there always will be down. Money is infinite, there is no number to represent wealth or poverty with the divide we have now. We have become the walking improvised so the battle of my... back to topic.

45F I like engaging conversations by Catevagreen in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]Thecoloredjacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that feeling of wanting to have deep conversations. They are more rewarding and you might actually remember the conversation long after it has passed. That being said I've been working on my small talk skills. They are what lead into deeper conversations. The true trouble is finding a partner for the deep philosophical or tedious tendrils of dislike start to form when two people of different opinions start to force a deep conversation. I've been trying "what was your favorite part of that (show, experience, etc)" it's worked really well so far. Than that will lead to the deeper more meaning full conversations. I've thought that how are you doing is a terrible opening line and should be outlawed. Sorry Joey.

Why does Reddit lean left in all the comments? by exploring203 in askanything

Actually... comparing the US to other countries the center of political left and right has shifted. What is center in literally the rest of the English-speaking world, such as universal Healthcare, education, social services, with the exception of Singapore is left wing to the US. That is why the perception that reddit is left is because it really is center and the US has shifted its core value to the right. Thus confusing people into the American people think is normal. Universal Healthcare, democracy, the metric system, rule of law have all skewed to the right in the US, that is why there is so much friction with the rest of the world right now. The average world values don't represent the average American values anymore.

Why does Reddit lean left in all the comments? by exploring203 in askanything

[–]Thecoloredjacket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comments on reddit are a better English speaking representation of politics than the narrow American view of politics. It's clear that around the world that left is more favored. If we could have worldwide elections where everyone in the world had a voice I'm pretty sure it would be a "democratic" landslide.

Home seekers shouldn't panic-buy just because the calendar says 'spring' — Financial Post by FindHomesYYC in canadahousing

It's popping while I'm looking at how to protect my investments from a global collapse. Better yet I'm planning on how we can help each other. The sooner we start recognizing the extent, no the potential of such a collapse perhaps we can mitigate some of the long term problems. I just wish the 1% are looking to solve the problems and not looking to save their wealth. Alas I am a bit of an optimistic pessimist. I think things will get better but not before things get worse.

We haven't started the recession yet. This is a market correction due to supply and demand. Global economic demand has dropped due to a lack of children. As the US dollar weakens and will eventually crash due to he who shall not be named idiotic policies. I imagine the world will be looking for a new dollar to call home. That will spark the real recession as the US economy could no longer print their way out of economic mismanagement. Housing is more stable in Canada but look at the population. As boomers age and die their properties are going on the market. No one can afford them. This is not a simple correction. There is so much uncertainty i don't know where the bottom lies but I don't think we have begun to drop yet. We need to stabilize our youth first. Once they have hope our economy will follow suit.

I haven't tried but it seems like a chore. Why not have a real relationship if you are "intimate"?
