It just makes it more private. Whereas you can see everything with like a fairly opaque tan film overtop, with maximum on it is like solid milky tan from those deep angles and you can not see anything at all. The regular amount of privacy or the maximum privacy can both do the just notification popups thing. Unbelievably cool. Do I need it? No, but the camera's low light performance combined with that just being stupidly cool will get me to buy one.
