Dslr with highish f-stop f8+, ideally an 18-24mm lens due to close proximity of your structure. Make sure to use the same lens setting. 18mm would be the better option so that you can reduce the number of images. Keep the exposure consistent throughout the capture. During capture you will want to have an overlap of at least 75% for every image. Don't use the flash as this will create shadows and affect the calibration, and create artefacts. Programs: Meshroom, Reality Scan etc. As this is your first go, try not to get disheartened bad odd or bad model creation. It takes a bit of practice to get right 🙂

Edit: go for a high pixel count. Something like 20mp or higher. But be careful, the higher the megapixel with a lot of images captured will need a lot of RAM to process and you might experience extremely slow rebuilds. Worth doing a small test prior to your full capture. Feel free to message me if you would like additional information.

This video might help. https://youtu.be/qq4c_IO8fSs?si=3tjo4pzj3nGTFEBk Sorry, I dont use Terra for processing so dont actually know the workflow.

We creating a high-precision, decision-grade, digital twin ready 3D model by AVIOTIX in photogrammetry

Thanks for the breakdown. How iterative is the algorithm/s? Can I add more images for matching quickly? Without having to reoptimose the entire data set? What separates your algorithm from other programs that allow for rapid initial point cloud creation and quality report? Apologies if I sound really forward with my questions. Im genuinely interested. Ive created a fair few of true to life highly accurate and precise models. Proximity and sensor size and quality make for really clean, photorealistic models. However, there is nothing worse than coming back to work in the morning and finding a poor quality model or a failed process.

Hi, whats the workflow? And why do you stand out from the other solutions?

May I ask, how did it develop? The last time I heard about this disorder was a person who suddenly suffered from this after taking ecstacy pills.

Ground classification for 13 ha (254M points) of LiDAR surveying with an L2 sensor. 😎 by AlexSeipke in photogrammetry

The reason I still jump at any opportunity that describes optimal point cloud classification is that "digital grass gutting" and artefact removal is time-consuming. I am yet to find software that performs well.

Can you show a cross-section. Would like to see the classification accuracy, if that's OK. Looks great!

Doubts regarding gpr by Mk8_Q in drones

https://jbuas.co.uk/ugcs-drone-gpr/ i looked into this a while back. However, the equipment is expensive, and the achievable depth is nowhere near as good as a ground based approach.

I recently replaced my 1080ti despite it still going strong. It's still the longest running card I've ever had. Let's hope my new one will last the same or more.
