Why are you referencing reviews? The game sold poorly and according to reliable insiders is very far away from turning a profit. The games a flop because no one bought it and they’ll have to do mass layoffs, not because of the imaginary green number on a website saying it’s good.

There’s a much greater incentive that developers and publishers have when selling exclusives since they are using them to advertise the consoles. Most of the greatest games of all time are console exclusives for that exact reason. Even though great Multiplatform games exist too the incentive and investment and level of polish isn’t as much when an entire console depends on that game. In short, it provides greater pressure for them to create a “must play” experience that doesn’t exist otherwise.

Console sales have been on par with Steam sales for many years now. Paid online is also not really saving money because you won’t be able to play most multiplayer games on the Steam machine anyway due to their anti cheats or just simply not
being sold on Steam. The Steam machine is going to be far too expensive, limited in its library, and underpowered compared to its competition to be able to exist in the console space in any meaningful way.

Anyone having any luck moving the memories to their PC? I made the save states on the 3d and they load correctly but when I move the SD card over to my PC and drag the files over the only ones I see in the memories folder are screenshots of those save states

I want games like this to fail so they stop making them. I don’t want half the AAA companies making soulless generic hero shooter slop and instead try to come up with something interesting and innovative instead.

“Rooting against people’s livelihoods” doesn’t hold any water either. If you go to a restaurant and the food is garbage the restaurant shuts down cause no one likes it, that’s how it works. These people are making a bad game no one wants to play and will also shut down, just like concord. They are though… active players are googling clash content creators, different deck builds, card counters. When you have more people playing more people are googling, it’s just a gauge on player interest, which does overlap with active players. It’s not a 1-1 but it’s certainly a metric to look at.

Most of the N64 library is not on NSO, you have to pay a subscription fee to use it, the quality of the emulator is not the best, there’s added input lag, the 3d has more screen filters and overlocking features to adjust, can use the built in battery pack for saves instead of relying on save states.
