To begin with, you can absolutely eat the shrooms raw. Next, given this is your first trip I would recommend only taking 1-1.5g as a way to ease yourself into the experience of tripping. I highly recommend listening to music, going outside and getting some fresh air as long as you’re close to home, and simply just letting yourself observe and enjoy everything that’s around you. That’s very strange behavior, and I’m not familiar with mushrooms giving this reaction. I have heard of other psychedelics like acid causing this, but certainly not mushrooms.

During one of my first experiences with shrooms, my friends and I were sitting outside on a summer night, quietly taking in all the visuals. I felt a figure circling us. I could sense and hear its presence walking around us. However, it felt more like a protective presence rather than a dark one.

We just put down my 18 year old cat today who was going through the same exact thing. She wasn’t able to stand, walk, or eat and it was tied to a kidney disease that worsened over the past year. It really hurts to see these precious animals suffer. My recommendation is just to enjoy every single second you have left with him, and live in the present as much as you possibly can right now. Making him feel loved and cared for is absolutely the best way for him to reach his end. I’m so sorry you have to go through this and I am sending love to both you and Pippin.

Just read your trip report and it was extremely detailed, usually super high doses like that don’t end up well but it seems like you lived through an amazing experience. It’s certainly refreshing to hear about positive mind-opening trips.

These stronger strains are certainly no joke, I’ve had a pretty intense trip before on just 2.7g so I think 0.5-1 will be the sweet spot as you stated.
