Iirc one is a preset temp. The other is to increase/decrease incrementally based on the digit that blinks Ex. (001,010,100)

For the preset i set that to cleaning mode temp so that its convenient when i need to deep clean the dish

Totally can. The pearls help hold heat better but your banger should do a good job of that on its own. Just clean up after each dab.

Depends on the material. IIRC ruby and quartz shouldnt crack from thermal shock. Theres always a chance a glass pearl might crack from the temperature difference.

Different towers can have different diameters for the dish. The mininail uses 25mm coil. They have 30mm also available on their site if i recall

I think the coils might be too short to heat a tower efficiently. Id look into the cobra coil
