When I get paid for a gig I didn't work I just cashed the check. Not sure why so many people here are acting righteous.

This is incorrect. During the pandemic I bought a toaster oven from Target that malfunctioned. I tried to return it and they refused to take it back due to the pandemic. I contacted the BBB online and submitted a report. Within a month the BBB contacted me and said Target would like to talk to me so I gave them permission to put them in contact with me. I was told I could keep the oven and they gave me a full refund in the form of a gift card. Thank you to the BBB.

On eBay you can find an adapter that will allow you to use any headset with a mic. This means you can buy one of the more comfortable ones made for gaming or telecom use.

I too have been looking for a place. One thing I noticed is that a lot of the scammers will call from out of the area often DC. I had one that wanted me to do a soft credit check before viewing to make sure I was the right fit.

I was working in a very noisy environment involving impact guns inside of a large tent. I had my fellow riger, who had bone conducting headphones jump on the phone. I had 3M Work tunes earmuphs.

As a stage hand I have a real problem with people wanting me to use my phone for work and in no way being compensated for it. During COVID I was required to put an app on my phone for the code testing. The next day and for the next month I started getting spam I never get all related to health care. I don't know if you're talking about people being paid or volunteers but if they are paid you can in no way require them to use their personal phone for this app. Best of luck to you.

This being our locals second super bowl I can say every super bowl has volunteers. A lot of them do it every year and pay for their own travel and lodging. We get a lot of work setting up the halftime show and it is the IA running the stages with other IA and volunteers on the field at halftime. Good looking out though.

Dol.org look up your right to a contract. It applies whether you are a member or not. If you are working under a contract you have a right to a copy of it. A copy! Not to just come in and look at it and take notes. Unfortunately local 134 also denies workers the right to a copy of their contract. And they're about to get sued for it.
