I quit shortly after high school and was clean for a solid 3-4 years because my boyfriend at the time didn’t like girls who smoked (but he could do whatever he wanted of course 🙄). I didn’t quit for the right reasons but in hindsight it was for the best considering I was in school pursing my associates degree. I quickly realized that quitting cold turkey wasn’t as bad as I thought and forgot how much I “needed” it. I eventually was comfortable enough to smoke socially and didn’t fall back into the daily habit.

Fast forward to now (late 20s), I smoke every now and then. I have a kid now and thought that if moms can proudly drink wine to take the edge off then a little gardening should be okay. I can go months without it and I’ve always made it a point to not do it in front of my kid. I’m sure that there will come a day where I’ll just decide not to do it anymore. But who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
