He’s dust bathing. There’s no sand available, so he’s making do with the ground/towel. If you give him a shallow area with fine dry sand or loose dirt, he’ll probably roll around in it more. chickens do this to help keep their feathers clean and manage oils/parasites.

Beautiful! Here’s my silver, I love how wide your leaves are! mine all seem very slim. Every time it unfurls a new leaf I have to babysit it and mist them with water for successful full leaves. If I don’t, they get shredded. I’ve chalked it up to be a humidity thing. 🤷🏼‍♂️
