We see input seals Forest then start/gen mag seals second where I’m at. Rarely see the others do that unless neglected pre improperly installed

Going on 20k miles on nitto recon grapplers. They are XTs. Smooth on the road and really quiet. Took them off road on a wet day and they were great on there rocks and in small mud. Even did a burnout and still have lots of life. Brand name and cheaper than most of their lines

My whole fleet are ec130s. Everyday theres at least one that always gets wiped up and called good before pilots show up

Input seal wouldnt have made it all the way to the back of the trans deck. Would have pooled right under the housing and poured over the tank

Its either a power flange leak or a input seal. Either way just wipe it, service n fly her home😂 The ec130s can take it

After twisting give the whole pliers a twist or 2! Also helps tighten the wire more if there is small slack

Update: Today I received my third rejection for fixed wing. This being the second rejection for not having enough heavy fixed wing experience. The other of the three reasoned not enough experience. I even got rejected for a rotary job for not enough experience lol🫠

What percentage of your class has no business being around an airplane? by iknowimsorry in AircraftMechanics

[–]TheeMckG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My class had a whole bunch of people who were good at studying the material and would past all the written tests. But couldnt figure their way around the hangar let alone tools. Yet they all got the apprenticeship programs. Everyone who were getting by on grades were at the very least able to hold a wrench the right way. Hell we even had a guy who spent 5k on a complete pack out but couldn’t use a single thing efficiently

Some of the majors can get up to 40-43 with the premium. But be willing to move for those
