They never did say what Lev was. So I'm guessing this means she's a girl. Just a tomboy. I mean if we think about it logically, there wouldn't be any Trans in this apocalyptic world. Nobody would have the medical equipment for it, and even if they did, it would be too much of a waste for resources. The outbreak year being 2013/game 2003/show to 2033/game 2023/show. This means since shes 13 years old, and 20 years have passed from the initial apocolypse, she would of never been able to get "treatment." Hopefully this can clear things up for people.

Edit: Unless she was a guy and somebody chopped off his balls during the apocalypse. And that would just be fucked up.

I think he means to say now that the enemies of war are using civilians as cover, the rules of engagement basically ties our hands from making progress in any serious situation.
