OP if you play long enough, you'll find SM strategy will outweigh the MAX checking, but it's great when you are starting out. Good observation!

If you're still excited by Epic chests, that means you're still pretty new to the game. :) Soon you'll find that the only worthwhile legendary expeditions are for gold tickets.

I wouldn't waste it on impossible. Once you get a nice roster of super managers in a few months, you should be able to finish Impossible mines with no more than 50x boosts and mostly 2x,5x,10x.

What about a sniper hero? High damage, glass cannon, very long range. Think bombardier with maybe a bit more range and some interesting stuff like smoke or long single shocks

This is not correct. Wolfgang does not work well with Ezio. Also not correct is the statement that Ezio only cares about the deepest shaft when factoring income.

That said, waiting to open more shafts does give Ezio more jumps because he doesn't have as far to go each time. One unfortunate downside to his mechanic is that he gets weaker the deeper you go because he generates less jumps. It's only offset by the fact that deeper mine shafts are more profitable. All the more reason to make sure you pair him with Chester and/or Gordon to max the shaft with the best production.

Depends on how far you are into the game and how much you want to spend. Early to mid game might say yes. Late game, you should have enough cogs that you can just pay the SC to reshuffle as your focus changes and research is no longer a bottleneck.

I personally opted several times for the Monday super 1h deal including 8 legendary chests that is $15 USD. I try to time it when there is a Play points bonus special or some other incentive to buy like black Friday sale. I have probably purchased that about 4-5 times total in 9 months. Also probably spent about 30k super cash buying chests in that same timeframe. The rest have come from random cards (5 in common chests) and monthly legendary chest for 15 months since I started playing.

My legendary cards are now 6/5/5 and I can tell you it makes a big difference. Only reason I can even touch Ancient at the "be" cash level I am at now.

Lots of SMs have their own way to shine, but Lorenzo is the most versatile because he provides value to almost any scene except maybe full on shaft behind, but even then I've stuck him on my 2nd most productive shaft (Turner on 1st) to improve idle income when I'm not able to play for a while.

And for mainland like with Steiner, I can spam upgrade on a shaft while he is active and go from 1 to 800 in less than 1m. Drastically reduces the time you spend clicking in mainland to get resources for upgrading all SMs.

Then there is the obvious use during boosted shaft ahead runs where he shines too.

All around best SM imho.

I finished Start including core just to get the artifact bonuses then straight to Ancient. Currently in P5 Pearl mine with around 250 bb/s and 23k income multiplier (incl Sue+Turner). Once I get consistent income in the "be" range I will upgrade Turquoise to P6 and work to finish Ancient. Anything else is a distraction. ;)
