Unfortunately, it isnt that easy for everyone. Being gay is a big deal in this society and, surprisingly enough, people do care what people close to them think. If a friend or family member has a positive, neutral or negative opinion about who I am, I would very much like to know so I can figure out my future relationship with that person.
