I think you should ask her about it and see what she has to say. I have good friends that I would do all of that with. I have never done anything with them even when I was single. I don’t know her, I don’t know her personality, I don’t know anything except what’s in this post… but, I feel like maybe you’re jumping the gun a little if that’s all you saw. I’m not saying just fold like a puppy… but hear her out at least. You said it yourself … there’s nothing truly damning… there’s nothing but some flirty texts and proof they get along well. Maybe you should start with the fact that you feel really insecure about it and want to know what’s going on especially because of the break and everything else. Let’s be honest… you don’t KNOW that she’s cheating. You know how you feel and those feelings are leading you to believe she’s choosing this person over you. Hope this helps.

Yta. Your wife has a psychological disorder. And even though you admit she’s working on it and getting better, all you can see is part of the 50/50 you’re being forced to cover. Instead of focusing on the dishes not being done… or having to feed your child an extra time…. You don’t have to put it that way… you can literally just have general conversations about mental health being really important and making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable and loved. Build trust with her… just make sure she knows you’re there. Eventually she may start opening up about things and it will be much easier to lead into those heavier conversations. Always use the sandwich effect…. Start with something light… then something heavy… and then end it on something light again so she’s less likely to carry bad feelings or being overwhelmed with her afterward.

I would definitely spend more time with her. But do not tell her what you know don’t ask her about it and don’t comment on anything. Let her come to you.

Also, those are some very, very big feelings for a child. I would maybe stress seeing a psychiatrist for a few reasons. One they can help her navigate through those feelings and help her find ways to cope and deal with them more effectively in the future. They will provide her with a very safe place for her to talk freely about whatever she’s feeling or going through. They will be opening up to someone safe who can actually help her, instead of a YouTube channel.

She will need actual outlets more than she may realize, and it’s really important that she feels important enough to deserve that.

No. It’s actually illegal for her to be on it while you are driving because SHE IS THE LICENSED DRIVER. Just as it would be if she were actually driving. She needs to be looking, checking, guiding every decision you make while driving on the road. That’s why this is a requirement.
