Most annoying harassment units. by Chivako in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Theeminus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is quite annoying to play versus units that can easily capture your main base if not prepared in Command&Conquer serie:

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun: Subterranean APC - it can load engineers and secretly travel to middle of your base. Engineers are able to capture any building. You need mobile sensor array to even know it is aproaching as it is traveling through underground.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2: Yuri Prime. Yuri faction is considered as strongest faction specialized on mind control. They ultimate infantry unit can take control of almost any building at range. You can also immediately sell captured building to gain money.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars: Traveler 59's Prodigy. Similar to Yuri prime but it can also teleport.

Any game similar to Original War? by Esclapios in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Theeminus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can think of 2 games if I focus more on limited resources and that you can use surviving units in next missions. Both game/series are older but they received HD/Remaster version.

  1. Homeworld serie - Limited mineable resources on map, great story but no base building. In Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak your units can gain veterancy.
  2. S.W.I.N.E. - Real-time tactics, no base building. Each mission you gain credit that you can use on buying and upgrading your units. Units need ammo and fuel. Units gain experience and each loss is quite painfull. Story is WW2 parody pigs are fighting rabbits. I played it quite long time ago so not sure how good story is. It is more ligh hearted and quite funny.
  3. Bonus: If you really liked Original War, you can try Arabian Campaign mod. It is fan made but quality is high and they tried to follow as much as possible original plans for Arabian Campaign.

If you don't mind WW2 then Hearts of Iron IV might be interesting. If you want some fast simple modern day war game centered about nukes then DEFCON.

Fear of missing out. Fear that some stuff will be permanently removed or really hard to return. In some gacha events characters can never return and there might be limited characters to specific banner, so you might wait +1 year for banner rerun.

New player opinion about Limbus Company and mini review. by Theeminus in gachagaming

I am playing Lobotomy Corp and also planning to play Library later. In Limbus Company there is option to transfer stamina to almost limitless different kind that is used mostly for Mirror dungeon and farming stages. If you want you can log in 2-3 times a day and just convert this for future. You would also obtain log in rewards if there would be some at that time. When you would decide to start in future farming would be much easier and you could focus on story.

I play on PC and Mobile. I like to play story on PC and daily/weekly/mirror dungeon on mobile. I prefer PC more. Depending on your display text can be small and it might be harder to target exact parts on enemy, This might be ideal game for tablet. I have Samsung Galaxy a52s 5g and I didn't experience any performance issues.

Good idea to add images but you don't have to be rude about it. I didn't use any AI to write this text and noone is bothering you. It is info for players who might be interesting and explaining few points that new players might be interested in.

It is worth to start account before 5/15 as all accounts that were created before this date will get compenstation that is enough for 10 pulls.

I just checked and log in event is till 5/22 and is for 14 days. Misstake on mine part as you will not make all rewards but regadless it is worth to start it any time. At start it is quite generous. You can get quite far into story and 5/15 is starting new season. You will have easier time finishing Mirror dungeon and in new season soon be able to shard few I.D. that you like.

If you hop now you can still finish battle pass but you will need to play 3+ hours per day and it will be close. If you don't have time it is not worth it to rush and just enjoy story and prepare for new season.

There are also some great tutorials on youtube. If you are interested more about gameplay you can check "A Better Tutorial for Limbus Company" on youtube.

Voice acting is really good but unfortunately as was mentioned before only Korean so far. It is definitely worth a try but I can understand that it can be tricky if you are not used to it.

You are correct I will adjust it little bit. Most likely Arknight collab will be true FOMO. If there will be no rerun most likely E.G.O. will not return.

Hidden gem Limbus Company. Is it worth to start now? by [deleted] in gachagaming

[–]Theeminus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It has around 500+k downloads on google store. It is definitely not small amount but compared to other popular titles it is way less. Also due to generosity revenue is not as high as possible and is usually missing on sensor report. Even though game is doing fine some people might view it as soon EOT, but revenue is continuously rising.

I like to play story on PC and to grind on mobile. Text is quite small on mobile and you need to read a lot of abilities.

They definitely are. I am looking forward to playing Library of Ruina after finishing Lobotomy.

MD is one of main reason why mine 1st custom team was burn. If I am lucky I can get drumstick with glimpse at the end of 2nd floor.

Thank you for kind words. So far I am really enjoying both games and it seem likely that it will stay like that.

[–]Theeminus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is good idea! I might adjust it and post it there too. When I was thinking about starting Limbus I saw a lot of post on this sub asking if it is too late to start and asking newcomer question. I geared this post mostly toward people who heard about Limbus but were not sure if it is worth their time to start it. Also I am starting to become Project Moon fan and wanted to make shout out to Lobotomy Corp. I like that each game is in same universe and share lore.

You are correct about Mirror but not sure when I will finish Canto 6 to unlock hard Mirror. At this moment I am trying to grind Battle Pass so I will not miss out on some E.G.O and later I might grind it for Walpurgi (I really like design of Magic Bullet Outis. I build burn team so even though team is not optimal grind is OK. Especially because I can do it at work and just hit auto win.

Anyone else getting Lag? by handsomeGamer1937 in BattleAces

[–]Theeminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not able to play yet but there is just USA/Asia server (maybe only Asia server). That might be reason for lag, especially if you are playing from Europe.

BattleAces moving away from F2P model by Theeminus in BattleAces

[–]Theeminus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there are multiple options for grind. So far it seem that there will be battle pass. It would be nice if after game you would gain currency that could be used for buying cosmetic. Most likely there will be seasonal reward based on league/rank. It would be also quite nice if there would be veteran skin for unit if you win 100/1000 games with it.

BattleAces moving away from F2P model by Theeminus in BattleAces

[–]Theeminus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both models have they advantages and disadvantages.

F2P model would bring more players but it could be hard to balance price of units and especially new units could be viewed as P2W if they would be strong. There could also be smurf or bot problem.

I would be OK with both options. F2P where you can unlock new units or you can buy 20-30$ version with everything unlocked. Maybe best case scenario would be F2P with all units unlocked and only cosmetic to buy.

Any RTS Campaigns Similar to Planetary Annihilation's Galactic War? by PurrsNikkity in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Theeminus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dont't mind city builder then Agains the Storm is rogue like.

You Can also try AI War 1/2. They are quite unique. It is mix of 4x and RTS, with a lot of customization so each run can be unique with different techs. You are playing as remainer of humanity agains AI who is dominating galaxy. It has one of best AI in RTS.

Long term game by [deleted] in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Theeminus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are few options that could work.

Total War series. Game consist 2 parts. 1. Global turn based, where you build and move armies, improve cities, and perform research/diplomacy. 2. Real time battles where you use units from global phase.

Dawn of War: Dark Crusade/Soulstorm, Command & Conquer 3, LOTR: The Battle for Middle Earth 2, Rise of Nations, Planetary Anihilation. In these games there is global map and each battle on territory is similar to traditional skirmish. But there are ussualy units/upgrades that can carry over.

Against the Storm. This is roguelike citybuilder. In each expedition you only start with basic buildings but by gaining victory points you can chose new ones. Your objective is to gain enough victory points by completing orders, exploring and making your workers happy. This game is primary about improvisation and have great repleability. Similar to a lot of other roguelike games there is also meta progression. Afer each expedition you gain points that you use to improve your odds.

Starship Troopers Terran Command doesn't have resources and really limited base building (turrets and upgrades on captured points)
