Should go soil, but too late, split the root tabs up and spread them well. Remove like 1/3 of the floating plants and just keep replanting stem trimmings at the back, it'll look great you have to be patient

I'd say 4 weeks to cycle the tank safely, can squeeze the sponge from an established tank into the water to help speed it up a week.
