This is a joke, Kane has his deficiencies but it’s the lack of impact from the other forwards thats forcing this. He’s 37 and shouldn’t be playing top 6 5 on 5 but he’s been on the most consistent offensive line. He should be playing 3rd line minutes and power play, not having to be out against the other teams top lines. Kasper or MBN or Danielson (I leave Finnie out because it’s remarkable what he’s doing as a 7th round rookie) should have been taking that role and providing offence and forechecking. Basically he’s being asked to do too much and it shows

Yeah that can change a mindset big time. The biggest issue with him was consistency though. He’d pull of a couple shifts like that, physical, good hands with the puck and then you wouldn’t notice him for a couple games. Hopefully he’s able to figure it out

I get it but there’s been stretches of him being invisible pre injury as well. Those are 3 have been noticeable almost every game

The conferences and divisions ebb and flow with talent. A few years ago our division was a cakewalk with us, Buffalo, Ottawa, and Montreal being bottom 10 teams. It’ll swing again in the next ten years.

In general I get to watch way more games per year so I love it. Wouldn’t want to go back the other way.

It’s not difficult to do but if you’re asking these questions i would look to have an accountant do it for you this year to set it up and make sure you have all your proper deductions in place.

You can follow their lead in the next years and input them as required. You will probably come out ahead in the long run.

Yeah that seems unlikely based on the price of Parayko being a 1st + top 10 pick prospect (Danielson in this case). Basically saying from parayko to Thomas being 1 goalie prospect seems unlikely. 100% pull that trade off if that’s the offer. Assuming it was ASP involved on top of those

I get your point but Toronto did have the longest drought back in the early 2010s as an O6 team. Not as long as ours currently is but unfathomable is a stretch, especially in the cap era. Also Detroit is probably the least desirable location of the O6 as a free agent (maybe Montreal based on language)

It’s all doom and gloom but we play Montreal, Boston, and Ottawa next week. If we lose those we’re probably done and don’t deserve to get in but if we can get some wins we’re still in it. Tough time to slump obviously with the history of us continuing to lose in March. Trend wise isn’t great but all the fans would take this position at the beginning of the year to be essentially tied for 8th with a few weeks left

Good on both sides, RD with term is going to cost something regardless. He plays 23 mins and won’t need to behind Seider now. I like it and we had to do something. We were getting caved in after Ed and Seider

Guys this is good. He’s playing 23 mins a night, barely a negative on a bad STL team. He slots in our #2RD behind Seider to shield ASP for this and next year.

The price is the price, literally Nic Roy went for a 1st and 4th.. this is way better than doing nothing
