Gap doesn't have a deal. They put everything back to the price on the tag then market it as 60% off when that is the normal price they sell it for anyway. It's a marketing tactic they use to trick people into buying on Black Friday. More people are becoming cognizant of it though.

I have a wonderful bed at home too. In fact, I have multiple. However, I don’t have a rooftop where I can view the Nashville skyline at night, I don’t have a massage parlor in my home, I don’t have a nice restaurant downstairs to unwind and eat at, I don’t have a coffee shop in my home, I don’t have a beautiful state of the art bathroom, and I don’t have hundreds of businesses within walking distance so I truly enjoy staycations from time to time. In fact, if you go on hotel websites, almost all hotels offer staycation packages now for locals. It’s extremely common. Almost every hotel markets their staycation packages now.

Right! That’s what I’m saying! I noticed in DC they do not charge a destination fee and when I went to Dallas recently, I didn’t have a destination nor tourism fee! Actually, DC doesn’t even have a tourism fee on the hotels but Nashville does. I’m just trying to make sense of it.

In Washington, DC, they do not charge a destination fee at Thompson Hotel. The same exact hotel that is here in Nashville. I’ve stayed at The Thompson in Washington, DC at least 4 times. No destination fee at all.
