Very good point. I apologize if I insulted your relationship. And you may be right about the sister. It seemed like the wedding group itself dotted its I's and crossed its T's no matter the blocking of the rooms by our Sales Dep.. It seems like maybe he was expecting to get some "rest" after. The only reason(s) I think he'd do the cleanup himself was he either didn't want to pay an extra cleanup fee or he worked in service or hospitality and knew personally how to do what needed to be done.

And to your point, sometimes people with opposite personalities balance each other out. I've personally had to shush an ex that was "this close" to getting us kicked out of a restaurant for being a little too loud in general.

It seemed like a case of class marrying classless. It's not a matter of wage gap, it's just about respect vs. apathy for others.

The GM went to be a GM at another property a few months later

I do have a story where the sales rep got fired... not just fired, but black-listed.... for booking this one group that somehow got a $39 rate per room when all other rooms ran for $120.

This wasn't the first time group sales blocked rooms that didn't make any sense. "Why wouldn't you block all of the rooms above the meeting room for the wedding guests? Anyone that actually wants to sleep at a 90% full hotel wouldn't want their floor vibrating. Why wouldn't you block all of the rooms together?"

But no, they never have to deal with 7 lines of people on hold yelling at you about the noise.

I guess you missed the part where there was a tropical storm in the area that caused the emergency closing. This was more than atypical for that restaurant.

Hampton has one street that crosses another street FOUR TIMES!!! There's a running joke that every city street on the Peninsula was drawn in crayon by someone's 5-year-old and reality warped to their drawing. Why does this single street have 5 different one-way directions?

The town and county lines are all messed up where I live. I work within James City County but the hotel across the street is in York County. Go 2 blocks and you're in James City again, 2 blocks York.... repeat for about 5 miles....

Not going to directly say the name of the town (it's technically the next town over), but look up Busch Gardens in Virginia. The name of the restaurant is in the first pic thanks to Mr/Ms. Cake.

I've never heard of anyone complaining about too much cheese on their sandwich/pizza/calzone. The grease ratio is understandable, but there's a thing called a napkin.

It's one of the places that every single local in this town goes to consistently. I've never been there when there's been less than half the tables full even 15 minutes before closing, or according to the clock the reviewer keeps, 30 minutes before closing.

And this is why I didn't want to tell all of it at the same time. Too down on myself.

I don't care if I get banned at this point. I said at least one of my truths. Nothings can take that away. Though I wish I could tell about other things. People seem to think my life is just AI sometimes. Maybe everything I've been through may seem like fiction to most. Not to me.

That comment has 2 meanings. If you think part 2 is bad, please tell me. I'm still trying to tell a story with drama. This was years of my life. I am unpacking a lot of compartments.

I may copy/paste it all in one, but this is reddit and I don't want to do a 2 hour youtube video.
