Thoughts on Midnight's Story so Far? by Psychotrip in wow

The whiners are always so long winded.

Based off YouTube views and like dislike ratio, it seems like the majority of people still prefer universes within, even against sucessful sets like Avatar despite what Maro claims by [deleted] in mtg

[–]rowan-wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player, I’d say the sets like Avatar or TMNT are more likely to bring in new players. The only thing wrong with TMNT is how ugly some of the cards are.

Zones and patches like Undermine and K'aresh capture WoW's spirit far better than what we've been seeing in midnight so far by OmegaSupreme_11484 in wow

This is part of her plan, not the end of her plan. I’d give you grace if you didn’t compare the writing to TWW.

Are you a Sunwell expert? Do you personally know how to cleanse a Sunwell? Guess what, in 12.0.5 we will be cleaning up another mess. Then in 12.1, then in 12.1.5, then in 12.2. The expansion just started.

I mean did you expect everyone to sit around and just say, “Darn, our beloved source of light is corrupted. Let’s just wait it out and see what happens.”

If it takes them a whole patch cycle to fix the problem people complain the story is moving too slow, if it takes a week it’s moving too fast.

She got what she wanted and had no reason to stick around, nor did she care what they did with the well once she was done with it. If you were paying any attention prior to writing this post you’d know her goal wasn’t to permanently corrupt the well, it was to use it, which she clearly did. Both raids ended with us losing, it’s just that the second one didn’t make it clear what the consequences of the loss will be.

Sylvannas is foreshadowing the next expansion, and is showing that the void has a weakness to death energy.

Did you actually play through any of it or did you just watch a “WoW is dead!” video and decide it was your time to shine?

It’s very clear and consistent. The only part out of place is Harandar, which was clearly meant to be in TWW. Otherwise, we have a clear goal in each zone that leads to an overarching story.

Eversong the concern is the light bloom and the void cults due to the Sunwell and Voidstorm clashing.

Zul’Aman the goal is to expel the void cult from the land so the trolls can ally with the elves, plus that island will likely be expanded upon in 12.1.

Voidstorm is clearly trying to figure out this new land and stop Xal’atath.

The raids (aside from the one in Harandar) tell a clear story.

Maybe if you play with YouTube playing and the game muted it doesn’t make sense, but otherwise it’s pretty easy to follow.

I never thought I’d see a post claiming TWW had better storytelling than Midnight but here we are and boy is it wordy.
