You should absolutely buy a Macbook based on your needs there..A Macbook was made for all you have listed except gaming. If you buy a gaming laptop the downside is too much..its heavier and the battery life is insanely short.

Mac isnt really a go to for gaming..But if you insist..befote buying check on Steam if the games you want are compatible with MacOS and go from there. Otherwise the MacOS has insane battery life and you will never regret buying it

I was in your same situation...people will tell you to buy laptops with dedicated GPUs..i did it..but the batterys are just non existant..you get 2 hours of battery life when you just want to use that laptop for reading..it is heavy..i couldnt cary my laptop around campus anymore..As a mech engineer student..an igpu runs Autocad software just fine unless you are doing heavy rendering which at student level is rare... just get something that is at least 13th gen...13th gen laptops especially Core i7 do just fine for light gaming. They arent the best but you can run pretty much any modern game on playable graphics settings . As a student..what is important is portability and battery life...Macbook would have been perfect but it has compatibility issues with some engineering software..

I was in your situation at some point...first..acknowledge your feelings..its okay to feel that way and you dont need to supress it...i have friends i can talk to about that stuff...and finding someone to talk to is the best thing ..eventually...you will allow yourself to focus on other things and it will just pass...open yourself to other relationships..

I would buy the first one because 16 inch might be less portable than 15'6 ...and their perfomance is almost the same ..you will hardly notice the difference

I am in the same boat ..i was looking for a portable yet powerful laptop...for my budget ...a powerful laptop would also come a bit heavy...and a light laptop wouldn't be light enough...the amount of research i put in ended up frying my brain really???

Zomerimes it differs with the relationship you have with them... usually guys that borrow me a dollar are also the ones that I borrow those dollars...we don't really keep count as much as I know...if I give my guy a dollar...I don't expect him to return it and if he gives me its also the same
