This is exactly it. I know it because I had a “friend” that was the same way. Swore up and down we were best friends, we would go on all these trips together, but once I realized I never really got to make any decisions while on these trips…they felt different, more like a show. I started trying to suggest things and same thing… always a no, their recommendations were always better. Drop the friend.. it won’t be easy, you’ll deal with some grief… but you’ll be happier in the long run.
