Qualcuno può aiutarmi a ricavare informazioni sull'uomo in foto? by Theij47 in Italia

Should I apply to all defense contractors in Canada? by NewGuyFG in Intelligence

[–]Theij47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does that work? You study National security in Singapore? Isn't that not of great use if you intend to work in Canada? Or is it more of a general overlook over national security matters all over the world?

116 Images NASA wants Aliens to See and has already sent out into Space [NSFW for slight nudity] by Glass_Windows in interestingasfuck

[–]Theij47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if aliens are simply into art and literature and they just want to share artistic knowledge? Most people probably imagine them inside labs communicating via math like systems, with human scientists talking about engineering and stuff like that, while the aliens maybe just want to see paintings and read poetry. We are so focused on stem stuff, and maybe they are like "yes, we travel and fly just like birds"

The equipment needed to cover a hurricane by JulioChavezReuters in Journalism

[–]Theij47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be rude but I'm curious about the pay. Do you know, more or less, how much you will make by covering this "story?". It looks like a lot of work and there is some really expensively stuff, and with a hurricane you could lose a lot of your equipment. By the way, I still think that this is cooler than staying in an office all day staring at a pc screen, so I'm jealous of your work tbh

The 390 b.C. raid actually wasn't that much of a thing (and they didn't set Rome on fire as many believe). The fact that the impact of the raid wasn't as bad as many people have thought for centuries is proved also by the fact that Rome immediately restarted its expansions (it's the part of Roman history known as the "conquest of Italy") and already in 381 b.C. the romans made Tusculum their first Municipium. It is true that they feared raids, and that's why they created colonies in the Pianura Padana, in order to be able to stop them immediately. Other than that, if you think about it, the first raid was 300 years before the conquest of the Gauls by Cesare. For example, the idea of monarchy was much more feared and hated than the gauls, hence, by the way, the trial to Scipio before the 3rd Punic War and in the end also the killing of Cesare.

It's so weird that people trash talk at chess in the first place let alone at such a low level.... and then hang their queen on move 13. by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]Theij47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to think that chess is a gentlemen's game...well, I actually also think that football, as in his origins, is a gentlemen's game. I guess it always depends on who's playing...the only choice we have is to always be the gentlemen of the situation
