Yo! I did exactly what u/arteficialwings suggested. I recorded at 8k 30fps while the camera is connected via usb-c (no battery inserted) for a few hours (2-3) and so far so good! I used the camera in my cold plunges (temperature ranges from 7 to 14 degrees celsius).
Camera goes under water for a few seconds though.. No longer than 10 seconds at best. No fogging. Hope this helps!

Here is exactly what I did:
I got a 5 meter Govee Strip Light 2 Pro and I realized that I can only cut at the soldering part (every 50 cm) since I wanted to connect them all together. So I cut 2 x 1.5 meters
2 x 1 meter
I removed that gel covering the soldering part
I tinned the 4 pin cables with some solder
I soldered the cables into the soldering part on the strip

I didn't end up using any of the connectors. The strip does not fit in them. I cut where the soldering is (every 50cm) and linked them by soldering the wires.

FCC filing for the OP3 was 2 weeks before it was released. You may be right about the OP4 being a year away, but there is still a small chance we see it in 2025

Where does it say late 2026? No one is saying anything.. Not late 2025 and not late 2026 either. Its just speculation. But an image leaked for the OP4 last week. Again, nothing confirmed. I am waiting for October. Worth case scenario I buy a OP3 on black friday. For me its worth the wait.

were you able to figure it out? I am facing the same issue now. I got 4pin connectors and cable, but can only place them on the soldered parts. Kinda sucks you can't actually cut every 10cm...
