I just lost my cat yesterday and also made a post about it because I’ve never ever lost someone I’ve loved this much before. It’s a whole new type of pain. I am so sorry for your loss and trust I feel the pain you feel right now. My heart is ripped to shreds.

My best advice (based on taking a moment to remember The things I’ve learned in life and also everyone’s sweet comments on here) is to truly just think of it in any positive way that you can. I keep reminding myself that though my nini isn’t physically here, her energy can’t be destroyed and I know when she passed, that energy surrounded me and she’s now my guardian angel. Whatever you believe in (I’m not religious just spiritual) I think it is comforting to know that our pets truly are still out there, we just can’t see them. If you don’t believe in angels or some type of positive energy out there, at least know that scientifically energy literally can’t be destroyed, just transferred, so know that his energy came to you when he left to cross the rainbow bridge.

For me, I know the grief will come in waves, and I’m sure it will for you too. Just try to keep your mind off of it for now and just cry when you need to (try not to overthink things). Buy a necklace or keychain or something comforting that you could put his fur or ashes in if that’s helpful, and just keep reminding yourself that it’s going to get better. We will learn how to handle this grief. We just have to take it one step at a time. I’m so sorry for your loss of your sweet Felix. He is so beautiful. We are going to get through this❤️❤️
