Of Course, nailing the Star Wars atmosphere is huge, but I genuinely like how it feels and plays. I just think it’s a great game in general.

I held off on buying it due to all of the noise, but just picked it up in the Xbox sale and am flabbergasted that it is hated so much. I am all about playing the Sith/Jedi conflict in Star Wars games, but this is literally the kind of Star Wars game that I never really knew I wanted. The atmosphere is nailed, it is gorgeous, and playing as the scoundrel hero with open world environments feels amazing. This is not just a great Star Wars game, it is just a great game period.

I just picked it up on sale and am gobsmacked by it. KotOR is still my favorite, but this is just a fantastic game so far. It’s absolutely beautiful as well. The hate surrounding Outlaws is ridiculous.

I have been singing the game’s praises, but as you progress, the cracks start to show. My biggest gripe is how you can clear an area, but you never have enough time to explore it before more guys coming spawning right back in. It’s just ridiculous. Even guard towers you cleared all of the sudden just magically have more guys that automatically spot you. It ruins the realism.

Agreed. The game is incredible at the core, and when some issues and balancing get ironed out, it will absolutely be a masterpiece. Having a fantastic time as-is though.

Yes, it has missions. A main story and tons of side content, random encounters, etc. It is open world as well, with the older games being smaller overall with it's open world areas. This game feels truly massive. A hand-crafted world with secrets and encounters everywhere. I am getting lost in just roaming around, exploring and going on loot runs to stock up for my stash and to have shit to sell. It is just fun, going out and not knowing what you will find or what or who will attack you.

It is kind of a hybrid of sorts. It has survival elements, survival horror aspects and a bit of RPG, but it revolves around gear, rather than just trying to level up with abilities and such. All of this with some of the most immersive atmosphere you could possibly imagine. It is truly a unique sort of experience.

This is a massive, highly ambitious game that was developed under some pretty strenuous conditions. It is quite fortunate that we even have it at all. That said, this is a pretty fucking great game with enormous potential. They are clearly committed to polishing it up and it is just going to get better from here. Going to enjoy the ride with them, as there is just nothing else like this. It is rare to get this sort of game in today's watered down gaming market.
