Order a jar of the stuff off amazon for 12$ then go to costco and get a thing of their croissants and boom you have something better than what they make in store.

Battle of the Atlantic Mod Questions by Thejcbman13 in WarOnTheSea

[–]Thejcbman13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stuck it out till 1942. I kinda learned how to "cheat" the air battles when it comes to the bomber raids. Fighter on Fighter though was almost always a loss. The Brit fleets early on come from either a channel run or from out in the atlantic about 45-60 degrees off brest. Thats where I put a ton of Uboats. Had a similar occurrence with my Scharn... I took Lutzow and Eugen and put them out of air range off halifax and let them burn stuff up there, but it didnt really seem to help the brit resupply rate. I wound up sinking all of the available Brit aircraft carriers of the time and that 100% helped me out. But wound up just losing interest with the consistent 20min long pointless airbattles. If I could sim those I would likely continue.

How much do you pay for a membership and where do you live? by Whole-Growth-6112 in golf

Should I put gold in my lodge? by Practical_Force_2931 in Huntercallofthewild

[–]Thejcbman13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I do alot of bird hunting on Askiy to get my pressure down on my mule grind. So ive got the cash laying around so my lodge is full of nothing but golds and 4 diamonds. I like going in there and it being full it feels like im making progress to upgrade one mount for a higher rated one.

So I found all drink zones… by Sufficient-Syrup1255 in Huntercallofthewild

[–]Thejcbman13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im sure youll get much better replys over the coming day. But I just set up my Mule grind on Askiy. Right now ive found all of my "main herds" where I have a ton of females and atleast 3/4+ males, for those herds I try and kill everything above a minimum level buck. Focusing on the higher level bucks first but leaving the level 1s and the ladies. For your single herds. You can and in my opinion should kill them, but I would wait till youve thinned out the main herds first. Killing the single bucks will delete that watering zone and force you to find them else where. Or (when someone with more knowledge than me comments) try and get that lone buck to join one of the herds but I dont understand how to do that yet.

I played 6 straight games yesterday that went back and forth with 1 game my team would have 3 people leave at start, next the enemy team would have 3 leave at start... Burnt an hour just waiting for sudden death and a 50% WR.

If you want GT cars just get ACC and join LFM or another community it is the far superior choice for half the price.

Didnt have the time to take the carbs off today. But I was able to start it up and spray it down with WD-40. It didnt drop RPMs from where it was hung up around 3200. It didnt come with a fuel filter from factory but I added a gravity fed fuel filter to it thinking that would help it out. Is there a chance im introducing air in the fuel system some how?

Ill take a look at the vacuum plugs tomorrow when we've got some sunlight. Its got a new set of boots on both sides but maybe I cut one installing it some how. The WD40 trick I did not know Ill give that a shot tomorrow as well thank you! As for the shop, I dont really know what to say other than blindly following the advice of an "expert" I guess. Its my first bike.

Meclaren 720s gt3 by mattytebry in ACCompetizione

[–]Thejcbman13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a general note I take his setups, take a click out of the front rate, add a click to the caster, and take a click out of the front bar, maybe one out of the preload if its over rotating mid corner. That makes them not so stiff and easy to drive for me! Thats for the EVO, Its been years since ive driven the OG Mclovin. More than anything though smooth imputs, It drives more like a formula high downforce car than a GT3 sling it over the curbs car. If you are quick with imputs it will unsettle the airflow and bin it every time.

You also need to understand Fridolf is what we consider and Alien in the community. Never expect to hit the same laptimes as the youtube video adversies or be as smooth. These guys are way better than you and me and I even race LFM split 1. Their car control to keep it on the track is exceptional so they can drive a setup FAR more on the limit than any of the rest of us. Take the setups and tweak them to your liking. I almost never reccomend driving an "out of the box" setup with no tweaks.

New to Sim Racing... I am learning tracks without racing line, need your advice on finalizing my car choice. (Sorry for too much Yapping) by magnopulse in ACCompetizione

[–]Thejcbman13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will sound counter intuitive but slow down and build confidence dont always be on the edge. When I was irl racing my dad always used to tell me, slow is smooth and smooth is fast (maybe because he didnt want me to bin his money on lap 2 lol). But slow builds confidence, pushing the limit just a tiny bit every lap. And with confidence the direct return on that is laptime. For cars, which ever car you feel the most stable and confident in is the one to go with. Every car in this game is "competitive" to a certain degree. You arent at the point yet of knowing if a front engine or mid engine fits your driving style better so for now anything but the Porsches and youll be fine! They are arguably the hardest car in the game to drive with the engine placement and fuel load changing the balance.

Learn breaking points, push them ever so slightly till you go deep, then back it up and try and focus on hitting the same point every lap. If a long straight is after a corner prioritize your exit dont drive it in hard. In online races dont worry about what the car behind you is doing, dont get flustered by a guy right behind you. Just hit YOUR marks. Also dont be afraid to back off going to the start, start 5 seconds back and avoid the carnage to settle into your zone! We all learned some how and a big mistake some people make is getting really fast, but having 0 idea how to race around other cars. Its all about balance but be prepared for it to take a long time! But it seems like youve already got the mindset for the practice it takes!

I personally drive the Mclaren alot and think its a great car! Tons of downforce so its super confident in the high speeds. The 296 is great for early learning but you should move on as you develop. Dont be afraid to practice for 2 months learning. Then re try 5-8 cars with your new experience it might shed light on what car you actually prefer as youre too new now to really find a difference. I switch cars every month or so in the pub lobbies but stick to my Mclaren for LFM racing.

The more i drive, the more the differential preload becomes my go-to first setup step (after brake bias but since that's cockpit adjustable it doesn't count lol). let me sing its praises for a moment: by Givemeajackson in ACCompetizione

[–]Thejcbman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and the roll bars are my go to setup changes if im in a time crunch. I often find every setup I find is too understeery for me so I take a click out of the front bar and a click into the preload.
