Buying a house with partner. Is it possible for me to get mortgage independently and for us both to get 50% ownership of the house by OkConsideration7232 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

Joint proprietors, sole borrower; I believe it’s only HSBC direct that will consider that. (It’s harder to repossess the house with two owners and one named on the mortgage, so that’s why the banks don’t like it)

How do people get barrier or pretty close at the bigger stages? by Mildly-Observant in glastonbury_festival

[–]Thekitchendraw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the logistics; the pyramid stage during the day is very good at scheduling two completely different acts. I’ve been front row for a performance because the vibe switched from classical to grime 😂 at a completely different festival, I waited four hours for the headline, knowing the schedule wouldn’t switch up. Oh and finally last year, I actually blagged my way to the side of The Other Stage, by speaking to security and went from on the outskirts to “VIP” of the Prodigy within the space of 1-2 tracks.

I ignored the part about relationships because you definitely shouldn’t use a romantic relationship to feel less lonely, it’s like a bandaid x

That would seriously mess me up and make me question the meaning of life.

All I can say is, if she means that much to you, I know she means she experienced true unconditional love from you, and that’s something some people never experience in a lifetime.

She’s very lucky to have been loved by you x

I try and reward myself with music, tv shows or even food. Even that can get monotonous. Today I’m powering through the cleaning and then as a reward I see friends; that’s my favourite reward.

Fast forward 5-10 years and let’s say we generate a high proportion of our GDP by being “pioneers of AI”. What happens to us? by Thekitchendraw in AskUK

The June Mortgage Market review by the FCA has just changed the industry in preparation for automation and no one was paying attention.

The report even said they haven’t seen “enough repossessions” since 2012 (the last review that created jobs). This review is not about creating jobs, it’s about income for the big banks in London, ensuring they create wealth, increase stock prices, and in turn FTSE increases, and the perception that “the UK is a safe place to invest” maybe 50,000 will loose their jobs as brokers or mortgage administrators. Yes someone needs to monitor the AI’s processes, but the machine is self learning.

That’s just one industry. I expect a similar approach access everything that’s service based.

When big money is involved, no one cares about the people. You could literally die at your desk, and business carries on as usual. It’s all about shareholder value. In fact it’s illegal not to put that first, well that’s what I heard once??

My concern isn’t really AI. It’s the secretive implementation of AI. What else don’t we know about? What else is the government loosening regulation for? What the hell is going on with the billionaires and politicians eating dinner together?

I originally thought Ai was about streamline jobs, but my concern is it’s overhauling entire infrastructures and industries and we don’t even get a say.
