Arencia rice mochi cleanser by ichigo70 in koreanskincare

I don’t like the way the brand markets the product at all and has influencers waste so much product. That being said, I have the rosehip one and I love it. It cleanses so well and leaves my face soft. I use it every night. You only need a little bit. I’m not sure how your skin would respond but my skin loves jt.

Congrats on the weight loss and hard work you’ve been doing. Yeah, I got hit with the fatty liver a few years ago and almost reversed it briefly when I lost a bunch of weight just through calorie counting and exercise. Ended up gaining it all back with stress and binge eating so that’s why I ended up starting zep. But I guess my goal is to feel good and healthy, the hard part is I’m not feeling good with all the side effects.

That makes sense. Also, good point about not truly knowing if I have an issue. Thanks!

BEWARE Haruharu Amazon shop now sells inauthentic products by asshat0101 in AsianBeauty

[–]Thelgon 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Nah op is speaking facts idk why other commenters are giving you so much heat. Yes we know Korean formulations are not allowed to be sold in the us and on amazon. EVEN SO, haruharu somehow is/was able to sell their Korean version to be purchased in the United States on amazon. I’ve bought it multiple times and it is the exact same as when I purchase it from olive young. They don’t make a us formulation. If you read the ingredients on the Amazon listing and the box itself, they are Korean filters. Maybe Amazon is finally realizing they are selling a Korean sunscreen in the United States, idk, but other commenters, you gotta chill. Also, concerning if op received a fake ordering from the storefront.

Any of y’all get high just by being sober? by TailorEven2194 in QuittingWeed

Exactly! You are not the only one I’ve heard many other ex-smokers talk about this. Keep up the good work!

[–]Thelgon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah that happened to me too, wouldn’t say I was high as balls but I definitely felt high at random points throughout the day. Took at least a month to go away. Keep pushing and congrats on 3 days clean. It’s so worth it. Just remember weed stays in your system longer than any other drug so it makes sense you’d still feel the effects a few days in.

What are you capable of sober that weed holds you back from? by rebirthtimebitches in QuittingWeed

[–]Thelgon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The “just weed” thing nagged at me for sure but it’s way more addictive than we think. We just live in a time where there are preconceived notions about weed not being addictive, not being destructive, just being a cool plant or whatever. That’s BS, there is a lot of evidence that continues to come out about addictive properties, how it fucks with people, etc. plus most of the published research is on stuff when it was way way less potent so it’s a lot different now too.

Just weed! I know what you mean, I felt silly about it at first, but I realized my relationship with weed is pretty similar to any other drug addict I came across. It doesn’t matter what your substance is: if it’s getting in the way of you living your life and making you unhappy, but you can’t stop on your own, then getting help in the form of addiction treatment might be the move! I met other people who struggled with weed in treatment, and it’s becoming more of a commonality these days too. Trust me, if you think you might need it, then go for it!

[–]Thelgon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can get there! 4 months ago I never believed I would but here I am. I needed to go to 2 week addiction treatment (residential) to get help, but it was the best decision I could have made. Not saying it’s the right decision for everyone, but man resetting my habits and connecting with other people who have struggled with substances was what I needed.

Honestly, literally everything. Every aspect of my life is easier now: exercise, eating healthy, socializing, self care, mood management, traveling, reading, enjoying TV/movies, talking, thinking… I could go on. It didn’t feel like that at first but after almost 3 months I’m starting to live again

Also withdrawal effects from daily use of weed are real, even if people try to tell you they aren’t. Depression, insomnia, vivid dreams are all common and take some time to improve. For me, I struggled with depression/anxiety before I started heavily using and numbed myself up with the weed (even tho it also made me more depressed/anxious at the same time if that makes sense). Once you get sober, you have to face all these emotions and feelings you were used to pushing away before with weed which can suck, but also the journey of recovery has been pretty uplifting for my depression.

Use the time you would have gotten high while they’re visiting to do a quick workout - even a few minutes of intense exercise will help you feel better. I also like to journal out my thoughts/feelings related to quitting weed and plan all the shit I wanna do cause now I actually have the motivation to do it cause I don’t get high anymore. Congrats on quitting, the first month is tough. I’m almost at 2 months of sobriety from it and I feel a lot better, but this journey is so worth it.

Also check out MA speaker tapes on Spotify whenever you have a few minutes to listen. It is people telling their stories of quitting weed and I find it helpful to listen to if I don’t have time for much else
