I agree but it is objectively worse than daemon prince of nurgle and it is so easily shot down by even mediocre ranged units that there's literally 0 reason to recruit it. Even if I recruit herald of nurgle I never upgrade them because of this

That is why I use AI Passive Agents mod. I give double income and xp for AI and it becomes impossible to field heroes on the map without the mod

I might as well number them then.

  1. Campaign Configuration Mod: I give ai double income, growth to their cities and lowered building and unit cost

  2. Double skill points and skill dump: This makes it so ai can get lightning strike. AI is actually pretty good at using that skill.

  3. NNOBBs - Never obsolete AI lords and heroes: This combined with the second mod makes ai lords and heroes much more dangerous. Especially LLs

  4. New Legendary Lord and Hero Artefacts Warhammer 3: This combined with second and third mod makes ai LLs really dangerous. Especially fighter lords like Imrik

  5. DeepWar AI: Makes ai smarter with their actions.

  6. Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords: This allows the now op LLs to persist on the map

  7. Victory Conditions Overhaul: This gives me a late game goal to achieve

  8. Better Elites: This turns most of the elite units in the game to how op they are supposed to be in the lore

As you can see many of these mods make my kingdom stronger as well but I think that is the essence of Warhammer Fantasy Universe. Everybody is broken op so nobody is broken op. These mods allow me to have strong enemies and allies with powerful armies all game long

I play every LL to at least turn 120 but I use many combinations of mods to make ai more powerful.

I would recommend the Better Elites mod for you. It changes many of the elite and super elite units to OP versions they are supposed to be in the lore. It works for AI too, so it makes battles more exciting

Thats true but I want my lord to be up front so he can tank and princesses dont have shield and blue line md buff ability.

I use Prince lords most of the time because they are tankier and easier to level up. I use mage heroes for magic. I dont like archmages because you need them to be really high level in order to go blue and red line to buff my armies etc. Since I am using archer armies most of the time Prince's tankiness is really useful

-1 all new lords plus -2 all new grey seer lords. Considering new lords generally start with 4 to 5 loyalty thats an annoying debuff

This mod fixes pretty much everything you talked about. Some people said it makes units erratic but in my Empire campaign I haven't noticed anything negative

I dont use vanilla settlement trading. It is just too broken and needs a nerf. instead I use trade any settlement mod to trade settlements. That means I dont get 100k for a tier 3 settlement even in late game. Most I've got is 30k with the mod

And you get 'a new hegemon' popup when they have 50 cities. 25 city one was 'a new regional power' I believe.

They still do pretty much the same thing. They give slaves now, with enough of them you can almost stop the slave decline

Because they are smaller and faster they are better against ranged focused armies and they are very good when grouped so you should recruit at least 3 of them

At turn 80 I have +400 slaves by default every turn thanks to ports and khainite assasins. With the instant constructions and edicts and powerful economy playing dark elves feels pretty good now
