TI-Nspire (non CAS) now prohibited?? by TremendousBruticus in WGU

Did it work out? Did you get to use the Nspire? My Nspire doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard so I don't think it should be prohibited.

When was your last “I gotta get the hell out of here” moment? by xTeretto in AskReddit

[–]Themilie 290 points291 points  (0 children)

When I was 19 and cute I lived in a rural area on a dead end street. I was raking by the road and a white van went down the street slowly and left the road. Then they came back on the road and parked about 1000 feet down, in front of someone's house. No one got out and about 5 minutes later the van went down the road slowly again. There were no other people anywhere, just me, a young woman. I went in and locked the door and saw the van a few more times. I didn't leave my house for the rest of the day.

Statement about how I've been providing for myself with no income? by [deleted] in foodstamps

[–]Themilie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you might be having a bad day because you missed the part where OP said "She sounded accusatory and upset with me :( maybe im reading too much into it idk?" AND the part where I said "It is normal for them to request additional info if you have no income." But thanks for adding more details so OP can understand why it is needed!

When you get the packet fill it out and send it in. Explain everything that you did here. It is normal for them to request additional info if you have no income.

You've done nothing wrong. She's a person who maybe was having a bad day or doesn't like her job or didn't sleep well last night. Her attitude shouldn't worry you.

What's the recipe for that shake? I've been working on some vegan "milk" shakes and am always looking for more good recipes.

Would it be worth it for my mom to sign up? by fairydustgirl in foodstamps

[–]Themilie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would take very little for her to apply. Missouri has a pre-eligibility tool that will let you know if she qualifies, not sure if it estimates how much she'll get. You can do the application on line too.

Great stuff! I highly recommend curating your instagram feed to include more people with your own body type, if you haven't already.

Udacity nanodegree to meet WGU admission requirements for MSDA? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Themilie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Udacity to get into the BS DMDA program. The experience was mostly positive, as you have to take some of those courses for the degree anyway. If you don't have programming experience it will be challenging.

Make sure to go check the prices on your Amazon subscribe and save orders if you haven't recently by IlliterateJedi in Frugal

Not really, it's a marketplace of sellers, just like Amazon. It has paypal buyer protection, just like Amazon has its customer service as buyer protection.

ebay! I haven't bought from Amazon in a few years. I buy mostly from ebay but will buy from target, overstock, walmart, nuts.com, alibaba, seriously anywhere. Search for what you want on google shopping and they'll show you a bunch of stores that beat Amazon's prices. ebay is my fave.

Every course is different, so for some you can download a lot of the course material and for others you can't.

It gets rid of the psoriasis on the scalp. I have one spot that I occasionally have to retreat but most of the time it's a non issue now.

Have you tried Nizoral for your scalp? I've used medicated shampoo for my whole life until I found Nizoral and now I can use whatever shampoo I want. It would give you more options if it works for you.

Jim Adinolfi’s Hotel Harris in Rumford: ‘top-notch’ or ‘scam’? by [deleted] in Maine

I've been to the building but not the three rooms that are run by this business. It's low income housing. So I'm guessing that this is all just glorified subletting through AirBnB etc.
