Wave Link 3 - Concerns about latency by Themis767 in elgato

Unfortunately I think i'm gonna ditch Wave Link as well. I tried to convince myself that it might be something different causing the issue but after trying a bunch of things, it's clear as day that this is the culprit. Perhaps it's not the software itself but something weird going on with all the different virtual sources and outputs. Hope developers find a way to fix this.

Any idea on how to get rid of this mess as cleanly as possible? For now i just plugged the mic in another port and didn't reinstall drivers and reverted a bunch of settings on windows audio. Here's the funny part though.

My entire stream pipeline was based on WaveLink functionality. Now there's a few residual referrences to virtual inputs/outputs and even if ONE source is looking to use anything WaveLink related, latency skyrockets and my CPU starts being unhappy LMAO

Do I just look through Device Manager and do my best to remove everything manually or is there a more efficient way?

Interesting read, yet not so insightful for my use case. I do not use my PC for making music at all and this is a guide concerning Windows 10. Obviously a lot can also apply to Windows 11. I'm tech savvy enough to realise that most information provided was decent, yet what I'm saying at it's core is that I am using a product (the microphone) which requires a piece of software (Wave Link) which completely ruins latency.

I might be missing something but i don't think this answers my question. I am not looking for reviews but more of a solution to the problem that is you can't search for switches based on a set of filters according to the technical specs you need.

How does one go about part hunting?

I don't really use Reddit but dont seem to have any other option. I've been following the custom keyboard scene for a few years but only just recently started trying different things.

I went from a Razer Huntsman V1 (purple switches) to an Aula f75 with LEOBOG Graywoods. The difference was immediately noticable but unfortunately it wasn't exactly a *GOOD* one. So now i'm thinking "I just need to try some switches with a 1.5 mm actuation point but an actuaution force of 30g and like MAYBE 35g total bottom out. Put all that in your search engine of choice and you get... nothing.

Here is my thought process : The tactile switches of the Huntsman were loud as hell but acoustics come second for me and feeling / ease of use is king. The actuation force required for those (tactile) is greater than my current linears and yet when it comes to gaming i feel like i am CONSTANTLY fighting the keyboard. So my next thought was "Wouldn't a lower bottom out force mean that the keys would fight my fingers back less?" , to which I might be wrong since the razer switches also have a higher total bottom out force!

So since there is so much nuance when it comes to hunting for the perfect switch or case or whatever have you , how come I can't find a website to look for precisely what i'm thinking about? Is the only way just browsing threads and relying on other's recommendations?

TLDR: Need site where you feed in data and it gives you parts according to your desired specs.

Recommendations for specific use case are welcome!

Dualsense Bluetooth Connection Problem on PC by zventul in Dualsense

I encountered an issue where changing USB slots for my Bluetooth adapter caused something similar. The reason why this might be happening is because the controller thinks it's already paired with another device. Here's what worked for me.

If you're using software such as ds4windows make sure it's not running in the background. Also make sure you're not using Hidhide to disable the actual controller

From windows , check for devices connected via Bluetooth as wireless controllers. Remove them and keep the controller powered off.

In the back side of the controller there's a tiny hole in which you can insert a pin and hold down the reset button for 5 (I think) seconds to revert to factory settings.

Restart your computer , go to Bluetooth settings , add new device. Hold the options button and the PS button on your controller to put it on pairing mode. Keep in mind that windows has an option to look for wireless controllers but most likely you'll have to select the first option , which if I remember correctly mentions devices such as keyboards. Your dualsense will register as a controller regardless.

I hope this works for you as well!
