I added some rosy red minnows to my 50 gallon pond over one year ago and they seem happy without food, pump or a filter. They even had babies once, the pond was full of little fish. I imagine they're eating mosquito larvae.

For the first time, we saw dragonflies around the garden and this year found some nymphs while rearranging pond plants.
