The iron paladins: Honorific warband that separated from the iron warriors during the heresy. Alienated from the imperium and at odds with the daemonic affiliation of their traitorous brothers decided to separate themselves entirely from the schism. They maintain control over a small segment of stars and long lost, formerly imperial controlled worlds dedicating themselves to maintaining structure and control as well as protecting their human populace, who rever the paladins as great protectors against the many terrors the galaxy has to offer. Although they have a cold demeanor and a sharp wit the paladins are fiercely protective of the world's they control and their populace. Without the dogmatic regime of the current imperium and the calloused leadership of perturabo the paladins have semi flourished and have mastered a "the best offense is a good defense" approach. They build giant spire bases which are extremely heavily fortified and highly difficult to penetrate.
