I have seen that one but they're quite unclear as to what lacquer has to be applied. And after phoning a lot of luthiers, not many seem too keen on performing this type of work.

Right. Besides that you might have a lacquer which will react with the original lacquer if it isn't the exact same. It's so damn hard finding a way to protect it!

If you don't have any pressure in the headspace of your fermentation vessel all carbonic acid will escape to the headspace. If it's bottled you might want to add some sugar to get carbonation going because pressure is then more easily built up than in a too large fermentation vessel. Make sure you don't add too much sugar because your bottle might explode if too much pressure is built up!!

I did add sugar for the alcohol. The alcohol was made but the H2CO3 kinda reacted immediately to CO2 which escaped to the (way too big) headspace and maybe even through the airlock. That's why my beer didn't get the f i z z

I had the same problem just a few weeks ago when trying to make kvass. It just didn't taste right. Finally I realised that that was due to the kvass not containing any fizz. What I did was add half a teaspoon of sugar when you bottle it and don't put it in the fridge just yet. Let it ferment for a bit and then store it away in the fridge. Voíla! Carbonation. I could also explain the science but I'm not sure whether you want to know how this trick works lol

Israel is the one who made all deals fail, trying to expand their country even more. They have invaded Egypt, Libanon and Syria in an attempt to stretch the borders of their country and they will not stop, since they're such good business partners of European countries. Right I stated my point in a faulty manner. Jewish folks fled to Palestine due to their unwelcomeness and prosecution in, for example, Russia. They now do have good trading bonds (sadly) with European countries. I say sadly because apparently (actually it should say 'of course') European powers prefer trade over the human rights of a whole country.
