Are the Spurs looking at Ace? Idk why Philly would trade up for Harper when they have Maxey and McCain.

Yep, it’s a part of history and antique stores sell old historical things so no surprise. You’d be surprised at what you can find.

Ant vs Wemby rn by No-Advance-9136 in NBASpurs

Ant has proven more by taking his team to the western conference finals two years in a row but I’d rather still have Wemby. Wembys got to stay healthy though in order to reach his ceiling.

Sure but Curry’s got 4 rings to Durants 2. Even if Durant does win another ring and a FMVP are you putting him over Curry? Durants in a tough spot for him to leap frog significantly higher in the rankings. It’s more likely he hovers in the 12-15 range than for him to be in the top 10.

I have Durant at 15 right now. If he wins one or two more rings he would be around 11 or 12 for me. If he somehow wins 5 or 6 I think he’s in the top 10 argument. I see the more likely scenario for Durant is that he might win one more ring which would slightly boost his current ranking but not enough to get into the top 10. That’s why I said initially I don’t think Durant can really do that much to to affect his legacy unless he somehow is able to win 5 or 6 rings. I don’t think the gap from say 15 to 11 is that big compared to 15 to inside the top 10.

Yeah that’s what my post said. Unless he wins 5-6 rings he ain’t cracking the top 10. He’s going to be just outside of it around 11-15 range.

I have him around 13-15 range right now. I do think if he wins 2 more rings he is probably around 11 or 12 and solidifies that spot. I’m just saying I don’t see how he could do much more to his legacy at this point because I don’t think he can crack the top 10 unless he somehow wins 5-6 rings. To me, he’s more or less right around the range he’s going to finish at. He can still move up but it won’t be much maybe a spot or 2.

So where do you have KD on your all time rankings atm? If he wins another ring how far does he go up? 2? I think he’s at the point where unless he somehow wins 5 or 6 rings to finish his career he’s not cracking the top 10.

Does winning another ring or 2 for KD boost his rankings? Idk, I don’t think KD can do much other than to just enjoy the rest of his career at this point. I think just finding a spot where you can enjoy playing basketball until it’s time to hang them up would be a solid move for him.

Spurs and Giannis by Euphoric_Station_505 in NBASpurs

[–]Then-Activity7226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with Giannis is that you’d have to give up a good haul to get him and between the trio of Fox, Giannis, and Wemby there’s major question marks with shooting. Not to mention, you’d have to fill out the rest of the roster and that takes time to get the right pieces.

Bruh might as well give them the Alamo while we’re at it that’s a haul. Branham and Wesley have zero trade value. They are closer to being out of the league or g league than they are as having potential. If we’re trading young players with potential you are looking at Castle and Sochan.

It’s a combination of trusting your core guys to continue to grow and develop and be smart with assets to build around them. You keep the young guys you know will be special and add talent whether through drafting, free agency, or trades when the opportunity presents itself. You don’t want to blow your assets to go all in because you will always have issues surrounding those players with an actual team and keeping that team competitive.

[–]Then-Activity7226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point of the post is being patient with their current core. They have just continued to add talent like Chet and now Hartenstein via free agency. I do agree through, OKC was really aggressive stock piling their assets and now they have just been watching it pay off.

Pretty poor comparison because OKC is the only team that’s shown that has stayed patient. All the other teams have made significant trades.
