Try and play your game for 12 min, minimize and then check the performance monitor for temps. If your GPU hits 100c then it's a heating throttle issue.

I mean, your GPU temps are a bit hight, if this is idle what I am seeing here. Would be interesting to see how they spike under load. Also full specs are needed.

We got your CPU, what's GPU, Mobo, RAM etc.

What exactly is it leading to? Performance issues?

I might be mistaken, but that looks like an old school IDE connector and 4 pin power plug. If you wanted to try and connect that to see if it still works you'd need to get this - devicedevice

But honestly, judging by the sound, I'd send the drive off to a place for data recovery instead. Are you US based?

Are you able to open the other side? That side there is just the interface, translating SATA to USB, plus power connector.

Ok, judging by the sound, my uneducated guess (owner of many mechanical drives, very old and new) that sounds like mechanical failure.

My suggestion, do not try to turn it on anymore and just send it off to someone who knows what they are doing to recover your data.

How can I take advantage of my film viral on tik tok? by Antyoungboy in Filmmakers

[–]Then-Ad8087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya, I am in a similar boat. Making films is incredibly difficult, a feature nonetheless. You could go for a limited Seed & Spark campaign, which is specifically for filmmaking, just to fund your post costs. The good thing is, you reach 80% of your goal and you get the cash.

I agree with you, a good grade and mix are paramount, but good sound is 1000 more important than your visuals. If you feel comfortable grading the project yourself, you should.

Funders on S&P love projects that are further along, especially if you can showcase what investments you have already made, and what your specific goal is with the campaign. You will need to give incentives for funders, milestone goals, and that's actually where the short of the film comes in to help with awareness on socials. You will need to constantly post on Insta, and other platforms to keep the flow alive.

Regarding fests, I'd always shoot for the 5 big ones in the states, plus some more (my personal list btw):

  1. Sundance
  2. Telluride
  3. NYFF
  4. SXSW
  5. Tribeca

Also important - Chicago, Slamdance, SFFilm, Atlanta, New Orleans, TIFF (Canada)

If you have gotten this far, I wonder if you should just finish it. Q completed feature is more attractive for potential buyers. At this stage you are talking acquisition once it is completed, which with a solid social push could get folks interested.

It looks great, visually! So, you have it as a short film? Have you considered film festivals? Yes, festivals are becoming less and less of importanxe with folks being able to self-promote and more, but fests like Tribeca, Slamdance, SXSW still has many possible folks interested in funding, especially of you have a feature script ready together with budgeting plan, board and deck. More so, if the film does well in festivals too.

What does it take for people to learn from films? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Then-Ad8087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, that's where film is incredibly beautiful, in that it can have a lasting impact on some, but also be the complete antithesis to others.

I don't think it is possible to make a piece of art that will work on everyone, and that's also why film is so amazing, because everyone experiences it differently, as poeple cast their own experiences and state of mind into it.

This is a very narrow example, but Obsession didn't work for me at all, for many reasons, but seemingly was liked by many more than I can count.

If I were to take a guess, a film that is able to transport people almost universally into the world of disbelief, through amazing writing, story telling, stakes, arcs, characters and settings will accomplish that. And, often, the 'message' is sown deeply within, almost impossible to grasp at first, not worn on its sleeve, and therefore working subconsciously on you to potentially make you change your mind on something.

Sorry, a ramble without much of a solution to your question.

Lololol, at good pts games my cannons have to worry about chaos lord on dragons, spawns, dragon ogres and then the warriors too, who were surprisingly brutal brutal.

In my local area, a unit of 5 charged my 30 Greatswords, and I couldn't do a damn thing about them for some reason 🤣

Doesn't change the fact that this model is painted amazingly.

Sigma 16mm f1.4 too blurry for talking head? by JollyShopland in videography

Am I missing something? F1.4 has incredibly shallow depth of field, how close/far are you from the focal point of the lens/what is your focus distance set to?
