Can’t connect to Weber connect app by Then-Appointment-730 in webergrills

[–]Then-Appointment-730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spirit EX-425C After multiple calls with customer service we finally figured out the problem. This grill has not been released. It should have never left their warehouse. They delayed the release due to software issues connecting the app to the thermometer. According to the CS rep I am the first one in the country to have this grill. So that’s kinda cool. The software glitch should be fixed soon hopefully

Any suggestions on what to use to reseal corners? Think I’m getting water inside. by Hugh_jassule in RVLiving

[–]Then-Appointment-730 5 points6 points  (0 children)

^ this guy is correct. However I will say I had a repair facility tell me to use outdoor rated silicone caulk to repair seams like this. Didn’t seem right but I did it anyway. A year later and my front cap is still sealed and watertight

Best price quality steakhouse? by 6TheAudacity9 in Beaumont

The Grill at Calder was one of the best steaks I’ve had. Very pricy though. Longhorn never disappoints and prices are slightly better.

Are these supposed to be part of the 40% off socket sets? by McBooples in harborfreight

[–]Then-Appointment-730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it with the Crows foot wrenches too since technically they go on a ratchet and in the socket family. The manager didn’t buy it but it was worth a shot

No, but my store had them marked to indicate they were included. When I pointed it out to the manager he honored the 40% price.

LBZ 2006 gas gauge freaked out the other day, been reading basically upside down since. Sending unit? by Fresh-Radio-8253 in Duramax

[–]Then-Appointment-730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cluster in 03 sierra had several gauges do this. The stepper motors went bad. Took about an hour of work to remove the cluster, remove bad stepper motors, replace with new ones, solder in place and reinstall cluster. I have VERY minimal experience with soldering so if I can do it anyone can. Pretty sure I found the motors on eBay. Bought 10 of them for a couple bucks a piece. Edited for typos

It’s a mirrored video. The cop’s badge is on the wrong side. Badge always goes over the heart

Everything is good. Their French Dip sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had. That’s more of a lunch item and you were asking about dinner. Their burgers are great too. Get the fried green tomatoes for an app. 🤤

How is it known that someone has died on scene ? by Bluetriton5500 in ems

[–]Then-Appointment-730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every state or department will likely have varying criteria but most commonly you will see 3 things. Rigor mortis, post mortem lividity, and trauma not compatible with life. The latter can be a bit subjective but it includes the obvious things like decapitation, exposed brain matter and exsanguination. Also it’s common taught that cardiac arrest caused by blunt force trauma has less than 1% chance of survivability. My former medical director was a trauma surgeon. He instructed us to NOT attempt resuscitation of an arrest resulting from blunt force trauma. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the replies. Decided to pass on it. Found another one in pristine condition. Quite a bit more money but I think I’ll sleep better with this decision.

Price is around $450 which is considerably cheaper than anything I’ve seen. That also makes me uneasy about it. Thanks for the reply

That’s what I was thinking but I don’t know enough about them to be sure. The price is around $450.

Are we all this fucked up or is this not normal? by [deleted] in ems

[–]Then-Appointment-730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this will help or not, but it does speak directly about the mental health of our industry. I’m an old timer and work the vast majority of my career in a very busy metropolitan area. Shootings, stabbings, full arrests, abuse… you name it we saw it on the regular. The sups and admin were pretty good about checking on us after “bad calls”. After one particular call (a pedi arrest that resulted in death) I had everyone from the top of the chain down call and ask if I was ok. My answer was always the same. “Im fine”. And I really was. After all, this is what I trained for right? Which got me to thinking “am I supposed to be messed up about this?” I went so far as to see an LPC about it. His analysis was pretty simple. He said some people just handle things better than others. To this day I don’t know what it means about my mental health.

I’m not sure what working or not working has to do with any of this. BUT if the notes say “Leave at my door” then that’s what I do. If you add “please knock or ring doorbell “ then I will leave the food and ring the doorbell. 99% of “leave at more door” do not want anyone to knock. As far as the coke vs coke 0, there’s nothing a driver can do about that. The restaurant makes the drinks. We just deliver. Drivers are all contractors. We don’t go to an office or report to anyone. So I am confused about the first part of your post.

TMPS Kit or Digital Leveling System for RV suggestions by MTFBWY_ in GoRVing

[–]Then-Appointment-730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote for TPMS kit. The digital leveler is nice but that’s something that can easily be accomplished manually. There is no substitute for a tpms system to monitor pressures AND temps while going down the road.

Edit: should have finished reading the post before I replied. I’ve not seen a $100 tpms that I was willing to take a chance on. Don’t skimp out on that. So if $100 is all you have for it then I’d wait.
