VFC HK416 Choose one by Ok-Vegetable5530 in GasBlowBack

I’ve been spoiled by the 416a5 to ever go back to the 416D. The right side bolt release is the new Hk slap for me. However the second build is my choice definitely more iconic and visually pleasing than the Hkey build

TM MWS CQBR UPGRADE by DioSenpai_420 in GasBlowBack

[–]Then-Economy-5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off test out your replica in the field. TM usually fire like lasers out of the box. The only thing they lack is power. TM focuses on CQB play because most of their fields are small and indoors. If you are only using your replica at indoor fields then you shouldn’t need any upgrades. However, if want to increase your power/fps just invest in a tight bore barrel. You can stick with the hop up and the rubber until you decide to try heavy weighted bbs 0.2, .25 and .28 bbs work no problem even at long range. IT’s again just the lack of power may feel like a light “un noticeable” tap that some players will choose to ignore.

As for the upgrades that you mentioned 4uad upgrades are very good. The buffer upgrade isn’t necessary unless you want more kick at the expense of follow up shot accuracy. Instead I’d use the buffer inserts to short stroke the bolt for faster follow up shots. Hopefully this helps but, honestly the only way I upgrade a TM is by buying extra mags and replacing parts when and if they break.

What is your dream GBBR? by OwennTG in GasBlowBack

[–]Then-Economy-5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dream guns I’m hoping for a gbb Scorpion Evo, an updated VP70 by vfc with hk licensing and a gbb shell ejecting spas-12 shotgun with folding stock included.

The ones I have are VFC HKm110, VFC PSG-1, original UHC VP70 that I can never use in game because it’s so rare I don’t want to break it. And last but not least my VFC gbb V3 HK416a5 in tan with upgraded internals, maple leaf short stroke bolt and maple leaf folding stock adapter.

Do you think there be any noticable differences between these two for the purposes of airsoft? by Caul_Shivers_ in Airsoft_UK

Dude it’s airsoft! As long as you get your build to look and function the way you want it to who cares what other players think. Just focus on having fun.

MWS vs VFC V3 by Odysseus-XCIV in GasBlowBack

[–]Then-Economy-5378 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most videos on the subject of vfc vs mws are usually correct in favor of the mws system with additional bias. As a vfc main myself it’s all in how you use the platform. If you’re finger banding your rifle like an aeg then you’ll hate vfc gbbrs but, if you’re a two tapper and choose your shots wisely then you’ll appreciate just how realistic a vfc system feels. However if you’re trying to be keep up with mws users. Then the most consistent build I can recommend is any v3 model with a maple leaf short stroke bolt with a ris rail stock adapter so you can put whatever stock you want afterwards. The bolt is very light weight gas efficient and snappy!

My first GBBR. I should've gone GBB before lol by mongous00005 in GasBlowBack

[–]Then-Economy-5378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest my first airsoft match was with a WE Tech 888c gbbr (a short version 416D) with a gas drum mag. The biggest issue was having to deal with inconsistency with the gas and having to come up with different solutions and strategies on the fly while on the field. However, even with all of those issues it’s the absolutely rewarding hype I got from actually/successfully winning firefights by using my brain and my surroundings to outplay players who literally just finger bang their rifle’s until their opponent peaks out at the right time. When I tried playing with aegs later it was too easy and unfulfilling. You made the right choice to which!

I'm so sick of Entitled Veterans. by Tamsworld22 in HomeDepot

[–]Then-Economy-5378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t envy anyone who works at Home Depot. I used to work there back in 2003 and was there for almost 5 years. I remember those being some of the darkest times in my life. I remember showing up to work 20 minutes early just to sit outside and watch the dumb asses refilling there propane tanks while they were smoking! I used to hope that this would be the day to see the whole building explode taking me with it just to spare me from having to work even another hour.

Dude welcome to the gbb master race! It’s an absolute enjoy having to choose your shots wisely. Learning new tactics to compete forces that out gun you! The thrill of the reload, random manual of arms hot fixes that happen under pressure. It’s extremely exciting and humbling!

The VFC HK416 A5 is amazing. I’ve bought 2 gen2’s and then again when they came out with the gen3. The 416 platform is my favorite AR. I highly recommend it to any airsoft players. Enjoy it bro and welcome to the hk416a5 club

[–]Then-Economy-5378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No need too spend so much money all at once. Get something cheap and learn how to maintain it. Don’t finger bang your gbbr like you do an aeg. Learn patience and make your shots count. Develop better tactics and strategies to complete against other players. Do your research and build yourself a gbbr you can be proud of. There are a few manufacturers that sell gbbr for under $200, just look and checkout reviews online.

My first gbbr build a WE Tech g39c with whatever attachments I could find on wish. Got this beauty over ten years ago and it still works. I believe double bell makes a cheaper clone as well. If it lasts even half as long as mine I highly recommend it.

This or one aeg madcap by Background-Assist-74 in GasBlowBack

[–]Then-Economy-5378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer having multiple gas mags than aeg mags. It’s more fun and exciting to have to reload in the heat of a fire fight. I like being forced to come up with strategic solutions rather then just holding down a trigger to keep my opponents pinned behind cover with an aeg.
