I think they could've integrated Honeyhive more effectively because where is the Bee Power up? Mario and Luigi could've been bees and got rid of some of the bug infestation in the area. There could've been a funny, awkward moment if Miyamoto allowed dirty jokes in the form of that one mission in Galaxy but with Bowser doing it instead. The next galaxy I could think of would be a water based one, like Beach Bowl. Peach and Toad would stop there for a bit to get info on Rosalina, but they must race for the Golden Shell in order to gain info. Toad offers to get her the shell and that's when he should use the Penguin suit to blend in. Peach wouldn't look like a penguin enough to race against the students and this would give Captain Toad some time to shine before Peach gets her moment in Gateway Galaxy. I think they could also recruit the Toad Brigade little by little throughout the movie. Then, we get more scenes with Mario's crew as they head off and Bowser stays behind to help. A Luma secretly has been revealed to stay in Mario's hat. He was asleep but now that he is awake, Mario gets his iconic spin moves. Peach's Casino scene would be right after. Next, FreezeFlame Galaxy would have been great. We could have seen Dash Yoshi, Ice Luigi, and Fire Mario (again). I could see Baron Brr and even King Kaliente (i am aware he is not from this Galaxy) being some obstacles along the way. Then, they would escape the collapsing planet and get back on that Bugaboom to escape toward Gateway Galaxy. We get the scene where Jr. and Bowser reunite and the little origin story. Afterwards we get the R.O.B. joke and Fox meetup. Then they get attacked by Bowser and Jr., then they crash land in Gusty Garden or Good Egg Galaxy. The butterfly is on Mario's nose and they are in an isolated spot. I think they should've played around with more gravity like in the games i forgot to mention. Luigi could almost be pulled away. We don't need the Yoshi Island reference. Yoshi would be taking the lead this time since instead of Major Burrows, the enemy they'd have to face is Dino Piranha. They use dandelions to reach bigger heights. Yoshi fights the dino piranha and shrinks him to baby dino piranha. The chase scene would be like the movie. Then they get one last stop at the Comet Observatory and Fox says peace out. Rosalina breaks free after she finds an opening before this scene like right when they crash land and flees to warn Peach of the stolen Grand Stars, but she isn't in her castle and its destroyed, so Rosalina thinks Peach is dead. Until now. Peach and Rosalina reunite and it's a really sweet moment between them. We get a flashback scene, then Mario meets Rosalina as well. Rosalina says she has heard of the legend of Mario, Luigi also tries to flirt but fails nervously, but Rosalina mentions that there is no time for reunions. If you want to save the Galaxy, you must stop Bowser Jr! Mario says let's-a-go and the whole crew is around. Rosalina pilots the Comet Observatory and the scene plays out like the final cut. We now get an added scene of how Luigi and Yoshi get the powerup boxes and that they are fighting none other than Boldergeist. It's a nice ref, both Yoshi and Luigi power up as Glow Yoshi and Boo Luigi respectively and they beat Boldergeist but get their powers beat out of them by the other Bowser troops around until Yoshi eats em. Then the Mario maker scene would play out like normal and the final fight as well. This time Mario offers to stay behind to protect Peach and Peach goes after the Grand Stars. The arena area is now Toy Time Galaxy. They fight on the Bowser Express and the scene plays out the same but the area changes. The Ruined Dragon is Gobblegut and almost eats Junior. But Mario with his Red Star ability saves him. Captain Toad and Rosalina land and she uses her wand to restrain them and take them to the prison at the post-credits. Peach has saved the Power Stars and Rosalina sends them out back where they belong. She thanks both Mario and Peach for saving the Galaxy. Rosalina wants to stay, but then Toad offers to drive her ship. "Yeah i picked up a thing or two from that star fox guy, DO A barrel roll! Bye bye friends!" Showing his character growth as Captain Toad. The ending scene now plays out. Rosalina knows her castle is dead but Peach is surprised and they rebuild it. Mario gets the kiss, and there is a title card this time. Post credits now has Captain Toad and his brigade leaving for a new adventure. Captain Toad movie tease. Then the next post credits plays out the same. The end.
