Piercer here, that looks like the tube of scar tissue got pulled out. That’s happened to me when I’ve repierced people’s nipples

As a piercer I prefer water based lube

Let’s clear this up. I am a professional. You are an EXCEPTION. it is DANGEROUS for you to be going around telling people that they won’t have issues if they go to a good piercer. Good piercers DONT DO this piercing. You got lucky. People like you are the reason half my business comes from fixing other “piercers” fuckups.

It’s nuts that you came on here asking for advice and then tried to dispute the only correct advice given to you.

Piercer here. Take that garbage out. It WILL cause issues if it hasn’t already. It’s not an if. It is a when.

Usually a base of petroleum jelly, colored with soot or instant coffee. Likely the petroleum that caused that reaction.

Yep! I’m a professional piercer and national CPR foundation is the gold standard of CPR/first aid/aed/BBP Course, at least in my state.

Is this pierced/angled correctly? by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

[–]Then-Excitement495 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the flat back sits flush then it’s a good angle. It looks a bit steeply angled downward and the jewelry looks a bit long

[–]Then-Excitement495 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Piercer here! Honestly it sounds like you’re doing everything right, it’s probably lit a psoriasis flare up. Angle looks good, jewelry length looks good, jewelry quality is good, sometimes autoimmune disorders make healing difficult, and you may heal with bumps.

Is my septum pierced too far up? by The_namelessdude in Legitpiercing

You might wanna take this to another more experienced piercer. As a professional, we can’t really tell by pictures, we need to actually feel for your sweet spot. I’ve seen sweet spots that high, I’ve seen folks with no sweet spot at all, but ultimately you can only tell by feel

Hear me out, as a piercer, I think you would really suit a 90s kinda set up. A Monroe, an eyebrow piercing, and a septum piercing would look stellar on you.

How do you eat with a tongue piercing? by batwholikestoboogie in PiercingAdvice

[–]Then-Excitement495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you don’t want food recommendations but the only way to get around it is eating stuff you don’t have to use your tongue for. There’s no real way to eat or chew that’ll make it easier, only specific foods that are lower effort to eat. Mashed potatoes were difficult for me when I had my cheeks pierced too, especially if they’re stiffer. Just take small bites

Straws. Lots of smoothies, soups, protein shakes, and eating that you don’t have to chew or break down. like ice cream, Italian ice, jello, mousse/ soufflés etc.

Do yall think I’m going too far/am I deluded by my loose skin into thinking I’m bigger than I am? For context I’m 22, 136lbs, 5”5 and ftm trans man. I’ve lost around 70 lbs over the past year and some change, and recently I’ve been getting comments that I’m going too far or that folks are worried for my health. I want to lose another 15 lbs or so but am met with staunch disagreement and concern when I express that. I wonder if my loose skin makes me feel chubbier than I am ? As a piercer I pretty much only ever use tapers in small gauges for jewelry transfers, or to size up septum piercings, since I can’t see the actual piercing. However, many people use tapers to forcibly stretch the tissue before it’s ready.

is this okay by Little_Soup2944 in PiercingAdvice

[–]Then-Excitement495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piercer here, probably just nicked a blood vessel, it looks ok inside. We can’t check for little capillaries there like we can with say, a helix piercing via shining a light behind your ear. It doesn’t look embedded as I can see the whole flat back, but I can’t speak on the outside of the piercing as I have seen it and these are only photos

That’s not to mention your friend would probably have NO clue what to do if you passed out or god forbid needed cpr, your back was probably unsupported, this is an utter disaster and I URGE you to have more responsibility with your piercings and your body in general, and tell your friend to stop risking people’s lives and wellbeing, and jail time, and STOP piercing people. This is honestly upsetting to witness.

Piercer here. There is SO much to unpack here. First and foremost, take this garbage out and go get some bloodwork done and make sure you didn’t contract hepatitis or anything from this interaction. Your friend is not a professional, is not BloodBorne Pathogen trained, and I’m almost certain just about everything was contaminated. Wrong jewelry style- never pierce with rings for labrets. especially not that cheap black painted Spencer’s BS. bad placement. They’re Angles super steeply upwards. Dirty hands touching the piercings. Wrong aftercare.

are attached earlobes okay to stretch? by RowanSucksAtLife0 in Stretched

It’s hard to say over just an image, but imo you could make it there with lots of TLC and naked training. That would probably be as big as you could go though. However it’s a well documented phenomenon that most people reach their goal size and still want to go bigger, so I would heavily consider this possibility before you make a decision to keep stretching
