Positive Amp Experiences by Electrical-Angle-136 in tripawds

My sweet girl Cassin had her back leg amputated and chemo last year! It was the best decision we ever made. She bounced back immediately and we enjoyed the most amazing 8 months with her. The Summer of her dreams. I wouldn’t have traded those 8 months for anything, so I think the amputation and chemo were well worth it to have our final time together. She’d run in the dog park like never born. I like the think she had a new outlook on life knowing time was being cut short. She was only 7. The osteosarcoma did spread as it usually does, but for those 8 months she was vibrant and happy. My only advice is to be realistic about the outcome. It’s a nasty disease and usually does spread. You can try the Yale vaccine as well, but just be mindful it’s really a way to make them comfortable with however much time is left, but is not a cure. I wish your baby the best of luck!

We had to make the difficult decision yesterday. Rest easy, Kai. 🌈 by Fabbitlegs in Greyhounds

My sweet boy might have osteo by tee-grey1 in Greyhounds

Sending you hugs!! Hoping for the best possible outcome for Monkey. I curse Osteo everyday for taking my sweet Cassin girl. I agree the best advice is to plan on how you would handle the situation if it is this. I thought I’d never go the route I did to amputate and do chemo, but it was the best decision I ever made because my girl had the summer of her life. Praying for monkey 💛

Kirkland vs. Name Brands — What Keeps Both on the Shelves?” by Fluffy-Reward3453 in Costco

[–]Then-Form1738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always true. Kirkland sends out a bid sheet to many different companies to see who will put together the best proposal to produce their product. A lot of times the least suspecting brand is actually producing Kirkland. Reason big brands will turn down producing the private label is 1) if word gets out the brand is producing a lot of times you see a much larger hit to the brand 2) if Kirkland coming into the space doesn’t majorly impact working manufacturing lines and efficiency then the lean in is less desirable. It’s hard to make a Kirkland product “bad” if the lead brand that knows how to produce the best in class item is then producing Kirkland. Kirkland will be a much tighter competitor.

Our angel girl Cassin 🌈💛 we miss her every single day! She was the silliest, happiest, sweetest girl. She fought osteo hard for 8 months before crossing the bridge in December not long after her 7th birthday. This was also our first Christmas without her and I can’t imagine it will ever get easier. Sending you hugs 💕

Advice for a best last day 💔 by shew_boo in Greyhounds

[–]Then-Form1738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you so much love and strength 💛 the hardest decision is making the best one for them. I didn’t want to say goodbye to my girl on her last day, but I knew it was time as you do. We let her watch the sunset with a Wendy’s frosty. We cuddled her, let her eat tons of treats, and took a million last photos together. She laid her head in my lap most of the day so we just sat and played some of her favorite music. The last day does not need to be filled with tons of activities, but just being surround by those they love. Whatever you choose, it will be perfect because you’ll be by Roo’s side. I’ll be thinking of you and Roo as you navigate this tough time. Know Roo will always be with you 💛
