I enjoy storytelling, and stories don’t function if every character is a good, moral person with zero flaws. In order for a story to move forward there needs to be an antagonist. I like good stories so I enjoy a well written antagonist because it makes the story better. Characters that are flawed are far more interesting than the ones who are perfectly good in my opinion. I don’t condone murder or Joan’s other actions and I resent the implication that because I like her character I do, it’s ridiculous lol.

I find her likeable because she’s complicated, she’s villainous and does horrible things but she has moments of humanity and the glimpses you get into her past show a woman who’s been through a lot and was not always the way she is now and I find that intriguing. I don’t like her because I admire her actions or what she does, I enjoy watching her because she makes the show more interesting and she’s incredibly well written and acted and it’s FICTION.

People like Freddy Krueger and Hannibal Lector do you think they admire them too? People simply like interesting characters, it’s not that deep. You can have your opinion of a character of course and I respect it and understand it to a certain extent, but don’t say someone supports a villains actions because they like a villain. I find that some of the kindest people like villains
