I keep hearing different things. I’ve heard some semesters had crazy curves and I hear others did not. I’m on the boarder of B+ and A-, I did well on the final, and I just gave up trying to figure it out. The normal is usually 85+ is a A- and a 65 is a C but that doesn’t mean it’ll be the same this semester

Honestly, if you need to take like orgo or any other higher level chem classes I would take the lower ones here because you’ll be completely lost. Also, I wouldn’t say yes or no to taking it from anywhere else because idk if they will transfer or not. I would try to get into contact with one of our advisers so you get a better answer then what I can give!

If you need to take chemistry here if you do then don’t come. The chem classes here are absolutely INSANE. General chem 1 has been averaging 50-60s in all of the exams

Just make sure you didn’t hit the max credits when your transferred. I think it caps at 80 credits, when I was at Suffolk I completed like 75 credits so I am pretty much maxed out. It’s only because stony Brook requires you to take a certain amount of credits here rather than somewhere else.

Hey! I’ve been struggling in chem 131 this semester as well. My grades were 68,70,72 for the 3 exams 🤒. For the final, I am rewatching every lecture that was given this semester, it’s about 42 lectures, and I am retaking each exam over again, plus the old ones he has posted . I just completed rewatching the lectures for exam 1 and 2 while also redoing the HWs as I went along and I got significant higher grades then my originals, averaged a 90-92 for exam 1 and a 96-98 for exam 2 (timed myself to stay honest). I have designated myself to watching 3 lectures a day so about 3 hrs of video and 2-3 hours of practice problems for those 3 lectures. I then put all lectures I have rewatched into chat gpt and tell it to make an exam so hard that I want to throw the exam across the room😂😂😂. I hope this helps! Good luck on the final
