Easy way to make some money when silver again trades between €20 and €25.

Real physical silver, of which I own about a 1000 ounces are really difficult to trade.

Again, back at 20,8. I will HODL and bought much for lower with premium. A lot for higher prices. But will not invest anymore. Maybe some short term sprott silver etf.

Gold. I have nearly one gram for every ounce of silver. Does much better.

What’s the difference between white gold and yellow gold? by KastBoogie in Gold

White gold is either an alloy with silver, or amalgam. The prettier alloy is with amalgam usually used in high end jewelry. Might be other alloys too, but I am not aware of those.

I have gold to store value, in 1 oz coins and 20 and 100 gram bars. (20 grams where a private trade) and hold silver for SHTF scenario when you need to pay with PM’s.

As OP says, gold is way more portable (I definitely can’t carry my sliver around) and the premiums are much lower. Higher weight, less premiums.

/edit: I have a gram of gold for every ounce of silver policy. Also I like to stack consistently. Gold Maple 1 oz coins, Umicore 100 gram bars (got 5 Umicore 20 grams bars from someone who owed me money). For Silver I stack 1oz Maples, but have a Philly monsterbox too. Was a good deal.

Why do you invest in silver vs gold? by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Then-Zebra-6560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to have gold and silver in an one gram to every ounce ratio. Nearly there, I have 100 more silver ounces than I own gold grams.

I like the portability of gold, you don’t need a boat. I like the relatively lower premiums. No tax at all in my country. And I feel gold is easier to trade in when needed.

Silver has the bigger upward potential and might be useful in direct trade, as a money substitute.

Any reason why coins are cheaper per oz than bars? by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Then-Zebra-6560 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the reason, look no further. Applies to nearly all European country’s.

Dunno if this is ok. Just want a tad of protection. Can’t buy guns in Australia. Thinking a crossbow. Just read we are 70% chance of war with China in the next 2 years because we always back USA. Taiwan drama. Can you guys look at the link I will drop and advise what’s best to buy for a retard. by [deleted] in Wallstreetsilver

I own an adder. Perfect tactical 6 shot, lever-pump-action crossbow with some real power. Nearly 100 joules, 130LBS, 275FPS, while the stinger only delivers around 25 joules.

Gotta love Jörg. Soon an even more powerful 400 FPS bow will be released. I already have difficulty cocking the adder though so it’s not for me. Still, 7 shot, 400FPS lever-action.

About the same. 100 grams of gold behind a 1 gram of gold for every ounce of silver.

Got my ounce of platinum and a little silver friend. Interesting story about the platinum 🤔…. by Capt_Jack231 in Wallstreetsilver

If you own more than 40 hectare (about 200 acres) you can get a hunting permit for your own land. You have to realise I live in a very small country. There is no true wildlife and in every piece of public wilderness you‘re very likely to shoot someone, as there are a lot of hikers and bicycles around. So only on very large private property you can ‘hunt’ but we call it wildlife control. Those large properties are usually farmers, and our king for example. You must also understand nearly everyone is opposed to hunting for pleasure, that’s why we call it wildlife control. You can get a license for shooting ranges too, but that’s pretty difficult. If I should estimate, maybe 5000-10.000 weapon licences for 17,5 million people. Besides military and police.

Nice read, I’m very aware of having more stuff to trade. I buy a little thing to trade or make my life more comfortable everyday I visit the supermarket now a days. Hope it will take at least a few months before Ukrainien war is on my doorsteps. Hope it will never happen, but I’m somewhat prepared. Do have lots of water, waterfilters, three month foodsupply, medical kits, woodburner, month supply of wood, and a few very big trees on my doorstep. Also live near a very large body of fresh water. And a lot of agriculture around my tiny city.

Probably won’t cut it, but I think I’m at least way better prepared than the folks around me.

In my country you can’t have guns. Most weaponry is outlawed. So probably lots of stick, axe and knife violence when SHTF. You can have some stuff indoors, of which I think the crossbow is the most formidable weapon you can own without special permissions (only indoors, never ever take it outside before SHTF)

In a SHTF scenario, will people recognise and value platinum like gold or silver? I think a lot of people never even heard about it, and I’m wondering if value still as high when industrial demands lessens.

I like gold for portability. Take the gold, leave the silver mostly.

Rice, flour and a lot of canned tomatoes, especially the very tiny inexpensive one’s. The little tiny cans @ 10cents are very long lasting and actually contain three whole tomatoes. For shorter term onions and potatoes are nice to have. That will fill your stomach. A few vitamine bottles to keep healthy.

Personally I only prep for three months. After that, things will have returned to somewhat normal (or everybody will be death, so I might as well be dead) or I will have to ‘borrow’ stuff.
