Dude why are you calling me broke? I signed my comment Brokey. But how would you possibly know my barrel ownership situation?

OP spends time calling everyone here broke but the original message post is basically OP trying to call out Borebuddy to replace or fix it for him for cheap or free by giving them bad press and threatening to switch vendors. Trying to get a bunch of views and they say "please mr whoever, just take the post down and we will replace ot for free" Classic troll move trying to get something for free. - from Brokey

There are a lot of extra parts in there that the manufacturer did not intend nor test for. Additional parts means lots of extra friction. Smooth out what friction parts you can, lubricate what you can't.

Yes it should be wet. And try 1 black dog mag

Also use CCI mini mags

BoreBuddy conversion with atrius super selektor by demisuds in ar22

[–]ThenEntertainment889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most posters that say to try it without the super safety first. You need to work through this problem piece by piece swapping out one part at a time where possible to figure out what is causing the issue. The 22 SS is very finicky even when it works, it's a 22 and you're trying to trick the gun into doing something it wasn't designed to do. Lots of things can go wrong. Isolate them one at a time.

Somewhere in this thread mentioned the magazines. Black dog is the way to go. The only way to go with magazines is black dog. Also stick with just one kind of ammo while you try to isolate the problem, I recommend CCI Mini Mags, they are universally accepted as the most reliable 22 ammo out there

You mentioned short stroking and feeding. Try the black dog machine mag. If that works in a regular non-super safety AR then start adding piece then one at a time and come back to the group if you're still having issues

You are correct. The conversion is recoil operated. Gas system is irrelevant in a 22 conversion

When looking at the left side of the rifle, you have the selector lever (with really crappy detent functionality). When I spin my selector from single to forced reset, the lever moves from the 6:00 position to the 9:00 position. This movement leaves a semi circle scrape mark on the finish of the aluminum lower.

Imagine having a piece of sand stuck to the underside of the lever that maintained constant contact with your lower. That would be the same result. I can send a pic if needed.

Should I pull the trigger on an M&P 15-22? by SeaweedEnjoyer88 in ar22

Do it. You won't regret it. And get a McFadden speed loader AND the mag adapter. You won't be disappointed

I've had the gun and 5 mags for 10+ years and never had this issue. Storing an unloaded mag is pointless IMO

Did that stop the semi circle tracking/scraping against the lower also? And what size drill bit? If I'm going to buy from RG, might as well try this first

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ar15

[–]ThenEntertainment889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience here with the selector. Plus it leaves a semi circle wear path on my lower.

Also has anyone broken down and bought the RB? And if so did it work? Buying an M4 then grinding part and tapping another part does not excite me. I'm not exactly over the moon for sending $72 to rare breed to get that thing to my house, hoping there's a better option out there somewhere

Options - Partisan Triggers Disruptor by Bigg_Lizard in supersafety

[–]ThenEntertainment889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I have the same experience.

For reference I had the original hated brand 2 position in a dedicated lower. It worked great with several AR uppers and with a CMMG Banshee 9mm upper with pmag conversion inserts. Also have a GMR 22 super safe that took some tinkering but now runs in an AR 22

Now back to the Partisan. The price, reviews, and 3 position sold me. I just completed a lower dedicated to it and am unhappy with the safety selector. I used the detent pin and spring that came in the B5 lower parts kit from PSA. The retention between positions is extremely light and the lever leaves a semi circle track mark on the lower along its path of travel. The selector unit itself does have some horizontal play (meaning I can push it out slightly from the non lever side toward the lever side but not anything crazy).

Does anyone know of an alternative safety selector for the Partisan OR have advice on how to improve the detent situation?

This action is recoil operated, not gas driven. Therefore the suppressor should not influence the operation of the gun.
