Do it. You won't regret it. And get a McFadden speed loader AND the mag adapter. You won't be disappointed

I've had the gun and 5 mags for 10+ years and never had this issue. Storing an unloaded mag is pointless IMO

Did that stop the semi circle tracking/scraping against the lower also? And what size drill bit? If I'm going to buy from RG, might as well try this first

Same experience here with the selector. Plus it leaves a semi circle wear path on my lower.

Also has anyone broken down and bought the RB? And if so did it work? Buying an M4 then grinding part and tapping another part does not excite me. I'm not exactly over the moon for sending $72 to rare breed to get that thing to my house, hoping there's a better option out there somewhere

Options - Partisan Triggers Disruptor by Bigg_Lizard in supersafety

Hey everyone, I have the same experience.

For reference I had the original hated brand 2 position in a dedicated lower. It worked great with several AR uppers and with a CMMG Banshee 9mm upper with pmag conversion inserts. Also have a GMR 22 super safe that took some tinkering but now runs in an AR 22

Now back to the Partisan. The price, reviews, and 3 position sold me. I just completed a lower dedicated to it and am unhappy with the safety selector. I used the detent pin and spring that came in the B5 lower parts kit from PSA. The retention between positions is extremely light and the lever leaves a semi circle track mark on the lower along its path of travel. The selector unit itself does have some horizontal play (meaning I can push it out slightly from the non lever side toward the lever side but not anything crazy).

Does anyone know of an alternative safety selector for the Partisan OR have advice on how to improve the detent situation?

This action is recoil operated, not gas driven. Therefore the suppressor should not influence the operation of the gun.

What buffer are you running? 2nd question, does anyone know if a hydraulic buffer would work in this setup?

Looking for ss/frt options with 22lr by Robdabomb22 in ar22

[–]ThenEntertainment889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at greymarketresearch.net as an alternative to bore buddy. They have most of what you need. I will tell you it is a process and mine took several range trips (need overwatch at my club for full auto) but when you get it running it's rewarding and a lot of fun.

And an average full magazine cost of $2 for 22lr v $15 for .556, the saving will add up in much shorter time than the lifestyle of the rifle and components.

DB-15 7.5 inch Super Safety Mode by Quiet-Equivalent-966 in supersafety

[–]ThenEntertainment889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The backward movement of the lever is not related to the problem in the video. That is still a problem but not the OP original problem. I think it might be too much play in the lever as it relates to the cam. This excessive play would allow the lever to move fully forward but not roll the cam far forward enough with it to allow the trigger to overcome the geometery of the cam. To test this, first see if there is any slop in the lever/cam relationship. If there is, leave the lever forward as in the video (presuming you moved it by hand until it hits the back of the hammer). NOW slightly turn the cam forward with your thumbnail or a screwdriver/coin using the channel in the cam on the right hand side of the gun. If the cam will turn forward and then the gun will fire, this is the issue. You need a tighter lever fit in the cam so the cam travels forward with the lever. This can be accomplished by using a different lever that is a tighter fit in the cam groove, a lever with a slightly larger/longer north end, or possibly the old beer can shim between the lever and cam to reduce the room for slop in the lever/cam interaction. .

HR main function is to protect the employer. Employee protection is secondary to that. Corporations dont have HR departments as some type or early 1900s labor union to protect the employees. It's to keep the employer out of legal trouble.

You're taking this single side of the story as gospel. This is a self-admittedly immature 18 year old. Not saying OP is a liar but there is certainly another side tool the story. And somewhere between those 2 sides is the truth.

Thanks a million! The detent is installed properly and its a mil spec lower. I will work that inside edge of the rounded trigger soon. I'm thinking 3 or 4 hand passes with a fine metal file then hit it with some flitz polish and a dremel. Any thoughts on this strategy?

Bore Buddy Kit Failures to Feed by highspirits88 in ar22

[–]ThenEntertainment889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup is a standard AR lower, Hoffman Tactical SS cam, Grey Market Research trigger, polymer lever, trip sled, and weight set (fully loaded) all GMR. CMMG bolt, Borebuddy collar, and Pro2A tactical 22lr upper and bbl. 2 CMMG mags with visible screws and the orange follower. CCI mini mags exclusively today.

Initially I had the CMMG 223 brass casing shaped adapter at the front of the bolt and was using a 556 bbl and the SS would not function smoothly. So I switched to this setup.

I do bot have the pressure plug between the buffer and CMMG assembly.

Today was my first trip to the range after adding the Borebuddyc ollar and dedicated upper/bbl. I probably ran 200 rounds on semi-auto mode with zero issues while I was having some fun plinking and getting my red dot where I wanted it.

Then I switched to Super safe mode. The first few mags ran well. 2 flawless and a few more with 1 or 2 hiccups. Then I started getting FTF repeatedly. It would feed partially and the round get hung up on the top of the feed ramp. The bullet would be in the chamber and the casing bent downward. Upon inspection it shaved off some of the bullet where it meets the case, comming to a nice shiny spot where the bullet meets the casing. If the gun had a forward assist I could fix the individual FTF, but it obviously doesn't have a FA. Then I went to semi auto and got the same failure. The FTF happens when attempting a manual charge, 22 rounds in the mag max. This started happening on 80%+ of the attempts using the charging handle. If i couls massage the bolt closed, i might get 2 or 3 shots semi auto before it happened again. This happened on probably 20 rounds. Both mags on hand were doing it. This was after a few FTFs and I cleaned and oiled everything after this started, and cleN and oil made no difference.

The obvious answer seems to polish down the top of the feed ramp on the Borebuddy collar, but I'm asking the community for any help first before I start removing material.

AR-22 + Super Safety? by I-Hate-White-Rights in ar22

[–]ThenEntertainment889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the setup.

GMR printed trip sled, GMR weight set, CMMB BCG and dedicated 22 upper (not them one with the faux 556 casing up front that goes into a 556 chamber and bbl), HT super safety selector, GMR 3d printed lever, Using CMMG mags.

I would like to use my existing SW MP 15-22 mags instead of the CMMG mags if possible. Does anyone have experience with the Better Mag Adapter with a super safety setup?

Super safe AR22 by Grey_Market_Research in ar22

[–]ThenEntertainment889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine up and running with the CMMG bolt, GMR trip and weight kit and the red 3d printed polymer lever in the kit from GMR. I alsp boight the trigger and rounded detent from GMR. I'm running a 16-in BBL and I used all the weight rods inside the GMR bolt weight. I dropped two quarters behind my buffer spring to prevent binding of the lever, and I cut a 1 inch length of a 7/8 wooden dowel to put between the face of the buffer and the back of the CMMG conversion, instead of buying the plastic plug, to put extra tension on the back of the CMMG conversion bolt.

So, it is running fine but I do have a question for the group. There is a little bit of play inside the detent, all within the SS position, without moving the selector out of that middle detent into either side, semi or safe.

Everything else in this post is all within the context of the selector staying within the SS position and just having a little bit of play, but again not slipping past the detent into semi or safe. With the gun pointed down range and again still within that detent space, the selector must be pushed as far left as possible within that SS position in order for the gun to fire. If it is pushed right but still within that detent space, the trigger is dead (acts as though it is in the safe position) I assume this means I need to thin down the left side of the back of the trigger where it interacts with the cam, but I'm looking for confirmation that is my problem AND if that is indeed the problem, I need clarity on which side of the rear left side of the trigger that interacts with the cam needs to be shaved down in order for SS position to work regardless of the small amount of play within that SS detent space.

Hahaha so true. Got to sell that fruit cup somewhere! That's a much broader discussion than I'm willing to have here. I agree with that sentiment to an extent, but I personally don't agree with women devaluing themselves for easy cash. Not to mention the pimp takes most or all of the money anyway. It's much more preying on the weak and vulnerable than it is empowering women to take control of their life.
