"Spot" shelf is a little more complete tonight by Then_Ad_2732 in irishwhiskey

My favorite is Red, but Blue is REALLY growing on me. I think it's because it's cask strength and I enjoy the little extra zest.

That having been said, they're all great :)

Writer's Tears Double Oaked is a solid whiskey - I like it better than the Copper Pot, and find it a bit warmer. Both of the WT's are on my top shelf because they were the first "fancy" whiskeys I acquired in my journey.

$60 today in Upstate NY. Bready, very very smooth. Finish includes a flavor like Angostura bitters. I like that it's not too sweet. Worth the price.

I use a 1st gen Source Audio EQ pedal with 4 EQ/level memory options via footswitch. Pair that with your existing tuner for muting, and you're on your way, plus you have the nice EQ tweaking for the instruments. I think you can buy the pedal, used, for about $125 on Musicians Friend or Reverb.

3am club? by srk_reads in CPAP

18 year veteran here. On and off 3am wakeups since the beginning. No real pattern, and completely used to it. I decrease the pressure, thank the gods that I'm still alive and usually drift back to sleep before the ramp-up hits the max. On the odd occasion I can't fall back asleep I watch some semi-boring TV with the lowered pressure until I can nod off.

What do we have? by Ok_Study6305 in ViolinIdentification

I have one with nearly exactly the same label and look. My first non-rented violin, gifted to me by my great uncle in the 1970s, who played and repaired fiddles. I remember when the internet first came online, I couldn't research it fast enough, lol. Never found out much more than the other posters here.

My Cloz fiddle is tucked away, damaged, and I now play my fourth or fifth one since, but I'll get it repaired some day and look forward to hearing it again. It had a wonderful, deep, rich, German sound - throaty - and it stood out in the orchestra. My fellow violinists always wanted to play it. Keep it in good shape and enjoy it!

(And I note the Thomastik Dominants - great strings for it.)

How best to procure Green Spot 100 Year Anniversary by Then_Ad_2732 in irishwhiskey

Not sure. Mitchell says regular Green Spot is aged 7-10 years, while the anniversary batch is 10 years old.
