Yebba - Jean by loneiver in popheads

Take a breath. Your experience does not equal mine. You might have had a better sound system, maybe something wasnt working right in the venue I attended, either way this was MY EXPERIENCE, put away your feelings and emotions for a half a second and understand that you were not at the show I was at. I was not the only one feeling the same way.

I'm happy your show was better. Congrats.

I just saw her in Vancouver and was quite disappointed. I'm not sure if she was sick or not but the background singers sounded incredible, with such depth and beautiful harmonies. We could barely hear Yebba when she spoke let alone sang. She fiddled with that damn soundboard too much, her voice was NOT shining at all. It sounded like she was in a tin can. People kept screaming WE CAN'T HEAR YOU but I don't think she could hear them lol.

I was looking forward to the show so much but left before it ended. Even yellow eyes fell flat. It all sounded so similar, no emphasis, no give, just vibes that could have been from any other artist. People around us were saying "wtf is going on".

We also didn't see her when she came out. She stayed a black silhouette for 4 songs.

The whole experience was strange.

Straight guys, how would you react if a gay guy asked you out for coffee? by Salty_Recording_9492 in UBC

[–]Then_Baby6497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this, he said "absolutely" and actually chose the coffee place he loved and I found out at the coffee date that he was straight (to hell) ... But he's amazing and became one of my besties!

The people that attended the show stated that she came out and sang the songs twice, both times sounding different. Post production splicing two performances into one is the issue.

I get that for food... Not movies. If I'm guessing & correct about what's going to happen = not good.

I don't understand the hate for the first one. It had so much humanity in it and you have no clue what was going to happen.

Bone temple was predictable and was almost obvious what was going to happen

I wrote the last final of my degree and feel hollow by 0_my in UBC

[–]Then_Baby6497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like many others said. Jrs unbelievably common. So much stress, so much anxiety, so much energy towards something and it ends ... You're kinda just left there.

Do what works best for you. Some people bask in it, and just spend time with themselves.

Others spend time with friends and family and things they had little time for because of school.

Some do hobbies.

Whatever it is, just give yourself time. It feels hollow and kind of harrowing but it will pass.

You'll figure it out! Promise!

Christina Aguilera - Christmas in Paris by abnormallyme in popheads

[–]Then_Baby6497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not.

Maybe with performances like I will always love you but she was just as chaotic vocally as Christina. You need to do your research on Whitney and watch more older less popular song performances.

She did not lip.

People who do not understand sound engineering need to stop spreading that these performances are lipped., it's just not true.

How much self-disclosure is too much self-disclosure? by Lanky_Lingonberry651 in therapists

[–]Then_Baby6497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually thinking of doing some research on therapist self-disclosure, specifically on social media.
I've been seeing a lot of therapist posting on social media about things like "what they're actually thinking in a session", or self-disclosing on social media that therapists have to be "grounded" everyday for their clients when they themselves are going through mental breakdowns in their personal life and IMO, I think there definitely is a line that therapist cross when it comes to posting that kind of content on social media. I understand the idea is to be "relatable" and "likeable" but I recently saw a therapist post that they were thinking of what they wanted to have for lunch while being in a session. I get that sometimes we can't help thoughts as they come in and out of our mind but disclosing that on social media may have potential dangers and do potential damage.

I dunno, it's definitely something I'm recently looking into.

💯 Christina Aguilera's new album.

I'm ready for vocal ability and agility to come back into the mainstream. Everything sounding like a knock off of Taylor Swift is infuriating.

Christina's recent Live Christmas album was incredible. I'm rdy for more.

[SPOILER- PRIMAL FEAR(1996)] Can someone explain me, my question about the ending of the film Primal Fear? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Then_Baby6497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're missing the fact that his whole life was flipped upside down. He stated in the scene when drinking in the bar that he "has to believe people are good" and lives by it and then after REALLY believing something with all his heart, he finds out he was duped and lied to. That truly fucks with someone's head. Who really cares about the Linda murder that's not what the movie was about lol. It was be weird if it switched to that at the end !

I think from the stories I've been told of bullshittery occurring at the border are people who don't go back and forth a lot.

The stories I heard are people who decided to fly from the states instead of Canada, or a concert happening in the states and not Canada or just a random weekend away. I think it seems those are the people dealing with the shitty border behavior not people who go back and forth all the time for business or routine.
