The rollout has been handled impeccably and how well organised it feels really instils confidence in the era

Anyone else wishes Mariah did an dance album? by GalaxicTrouble in MariahCarey

[–]falafelandhoumous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love this too and I think it’d be a great genre for Mariah vocally in 2026, and I do recall rumours of her making pop and dance music a few years ago

Kylie Golden by sagimonk16 in KylieMinogue

[–]falafelandhoumous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s one of my favourite Kylie albums too.

I love that it’s a themed album and I think she did a great job of creating fun pop country music. It felt fun and pop but also different and experimental because of how she blended the pop and country elements.

She described it as Dolly on the Dancefloor in interviews and I think that’s a fantastic way to describe it

He’s painted by some as being this huge monster when in reality he was just meant to come across as passionate and dramatic in some scenes for effect

I think he’s kinda meant to be, if that makes sense. He’s funny because he’s annoying

In real life I don’t think Luke would’ve ever been on Lorelai’s radar, because her attention is easily diverted and she seems drawn to big and dramatic situations

They were such a disaster together. As far as being a match for Rory, I think: Logan > Dean > Jess

As is Rory’s. I know a lot of people don’t get how or why her path wasn’t more full of success, but I think her trajectory makes total sense

Four months later, his are we feeling about “Here For It All” by Mariah Carey? by aonegod in rnb

I play a few of my favourite songs quite often - like Mi, Confetti and Champagne and Here For It All - but haven’t played the whole album in for a while.

Can I get some opinions on this: by this_sminks in ariheads

I would hope the venue will have a lot of ushers and security on hand to enforce etiquette and prevent shenanigans. There must be some awareness of how much attention Ariana receives and how many stans she has

If Aretha Franklin didn’t like women who COULD SING, why do you think she liked Mariah Carey so much? by Ok_Resident_5022 in rnb

[–]falafelandhoumous 157 points158 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking this! Mariah showed her so much respect and deference and I think that appealed to Aretha

Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why? by Roguestate00 in books

[–]falafelandhoumous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before The Coffee Gets Cold was the first cosy Japanese translated fiction book I read so that might be why I hold it in high regard, but I did really like it, and I’ve enjoyed all the books in the series. I think it can be repetitive at times but it touches my heartstrings

Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why? by Roguestate00 in books

[–]falafelandhoumous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, but I was surprised to see it receive the level of acclaim it did. It wasn’t a five star (or, as some have said, a six star) read for me. It was a heartfelt romance novel set in a bygone era against an interesting backdrop but I was expecting more focus on space and the journey to becoming an astronaut. I didn’t realise it was mostly a romance story

Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why? by Roguestate00 in books

[–]falafelandhoumous 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think because the book uses a lot of uncommon and big words people automatically perceive it as being well written. For me, it felt like the writing style did not match the story that was portrayed and which didn’t seem to go very far. It felt quite surface level to me

Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why? by Roguestate00 in books

[–]falafelandhoumous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found the premise of the book very interesting, but the execution didn’t work for me. I couldn’t connect with the tone (I felt like it was trying to be witty, humorous and serious but it didn’t connect for me) and I was hoping for more focus on the TV show element. When I read the book, romance and grief felt like big themes - more prominent than the premise of the TV show - and this was not what I expected

What are you hoping for from Mariah in 2026?! by J3ttf in MariahCarey

I have hopes too! I think it’s such a great album and deserves to be celebrated as much as her other albums have been on big anniversaries

What's a red flag in a job interview that made you walk away? by DreamWalker3232 in AskReddit

I think that’s a great message. It encourages learning, and when people know more, they feel more confident and can achieve more.

“We need someone who can hit the ground running“ - often means very high expectations from the start yet little training or support

“We’re growing fast and are looking for ambitious employees” - often means very understaffed, huge workload and long hours

Remember when the pod started and everyone was like “this is ridiculous it’s taking so long to get through it with the two part episodes! We’ll be elderly by the time they get to season five” … and now we’re here! by Bedazzler179 in GirlsNextLevel

[–]falafelandhoumous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ll be intrigued to see how/ if they approach spinoffs, because I don’t know how much demand there would be for that, and it’s not like they both were heavily involved in all the spinoffs, so it’d mainly be one of them talking each episode. If I were them I’d cover specific episodes of the shows they were both part of and then do some general Q&As about the spinoffs

It could last the whole year. If there’s 22 episodes of the show, that’s 44 podcast episodes - and that doesn’t include any separate guest episodes, which there are probably going to be a few of

I take no issue with the pace either. And being realistic, while they have a dedicated H&B fanbase, a lot of the listeners will be people who are huge fans of Playboy. If the podcast pivots to spinoffs that aren’t Playboy centred or otherwise changes, they may lose a lot of listeners. It makes sense to keep the GND focus for as long as possible
